https://www.instagram.com/reel/CaN6wbnF ... hare_sheethere’s some late breaking news from the band. Having just received their personal allotment of the forthcoming (TBA) FEAR INOCULUM ULTRA DELUXE LP, they were inspired to offer for sale this very limited number of advance pressings to TOOLARMY VIP PACKAGE holders (taking advantage of their early merch access) beginning with tonight’s show in Philadelphia and extending to the remaining shows in Elmont, Newark, Buffalo, Pittsburgh and so forth, or until there are no more available (prior to the worldwide release that’s projected for sometime in April). Furthermore, these early vinyl arrivals (only a tour item for the time being) have been AUTOGRAPHED, adding a personal touch to the cover imagery. The package contains 5 discs of industry best 180g vinyl, with audio tracks on one side and etched art on the reverse of each side of the disc.Though the quantities are very limited, should there be any remaining copies, they will be made available to concert goers at the general merch booth.

Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
Reportedly these autographed copies in the VIP merch stalls are going for $810
Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
Seems like they've finally caught on to how much they can gouge out of insufferable retards.
Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
Yeah, $810 seems a bit rich even autographed - no doubt they'll sell out in seconds though
Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
$810 is probably under value I'd say with the autographs and the fact it's the first and limited pressing.
$1,500 on the open market for sure, if not more.

Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
Agree. $810 is pretty awesome for an original pre release pressing signed by the band. The level of craftsmanship and detail in that packaging is top notch and the vinyl is primo. Looking forward to see where this lands on the general release.
Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
Not sure it's really anything different from the regular release, except for the autographs, but I'm sure those who spend the money on it will be happy with their purchase
Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
810$?
Has Tool finally lost any connection to earth?

Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
Maybe they're waiting for the 20th anniversary of it's release. It's only 4 years away.
So Long, and Thanks for All the Tool.

These fucks take advantage of people and its pretty sickening. Lost connection with earth couldn't be more true. I guess thats what happens to some people that get rich and just aren't on the same page at all anymore with regular working class people. true, the fans are idiots to buy it but it doesnt make it right to sell many things for lots of mulla' all the time either. f them!
Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
$800 is a deal.
$810 is just outrageous though. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

God damn! Our boys love to sign their names and cash dem checks! I know quoting hooker is rookie level, but the song starts looking less like an allegorical story about the price of fame and more like the bands true feelings towards their fans. We can charge whatever we want and they will still buy it. I say this even as the lime green local tool crew shirt I just bought from the store for $15 is currently sitting in my closet.
As a comparison, Rush is releasing a super limited edition with crazy packaging for 40th of Moving Pictures - $289 comes with CD/Blu-ray/vinyl and a bunch of tchotchkes. Now this is unsigned (RIP Neil) but unless adam and Korin put some OG artwork in there, I am going to pass. Not that I have a chance, since I have already attended my 2 shows and these hadn’t even been produced at that point.

I would love to get this album on vinyl, but my passion for material stuff like this is fading.bob wrote: ↑Mon Feb 21, 2022 9:02 pmThese fucks take advantage of people and its pretty sickening. Personally I don't care much for the box and all that stuff - which I usually look at once a year if any.
So my hopes are they'll produce some kind of standard version for a reasonable price.
...and before getting any excited at all, let's wait for some vinyl reviews.
I don't need another Lateralus-like catastrophe...
Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
From what I read the quality of the vinyl is good - it's certainly not a Lateralus disaster
At the end of the day, i just want Fear Inoculum (and the other Tool releases for that matter) on vinyl. If it comes with a cool box, then that's nice too. I won't be paying $810 for the priviledge though

Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
How much do signed posters and drum heads go for relative to an unreleased vinyl for their new album at live shows?

Re: Fear Inoculum Ultra Deluxe LP
It’s been on the rise show to show apparently.
In SF, signed posters were $300(!) Signed drumheads depended on size and art. Minimum $500 up to $3K (doodles) I’ve heard. Anyone able to comment on the latest prices?
I have a bunch of collectibles, Tool and other, from over the years, but they are just sitting in my closet. I’ve lost my desire to accumulate for the most part.
