Hush now, these Sweat drenched undershorts have become a Part of Me, believe it will be a Cold and Ugly day in hell if Jerk-Off is included on Opiate 3

yaa! now your talking. When they played 'Sweat' in 2017 i remembered back when they did those added parts in 98' and how good it was. Too bad they werent doing that in later years but they did add the parts to Opiate.... isn't the extended live version of Opiate not the same as what this studio version is going to be ? I think i recall hearing that but i get the feeling its prob similiar.

It's the 1st of March for us in the Southern Hemisphere, shouldn't we have the new Opiate single available to stream?!?

I expected a launch time to be in the US timezone somewhere, rather than a midnight in a tiny Pacific nation.

All the typical Tool delay griping aside, I really love what they did hear. A great blend of old and new. The dynamics on the track are awesome especially listening on a nice 2.1 system. The guitar tone shows AJ's evolution but hasn't lost any of its grit from the original. Justin really shines here as well. Danny is Danny, nothing else needing to be said! Maynard might be my biggest surprise on this one. His vocals have a tone of power which rarely showed on FI. The scream at the end put a big smile on my face and was quite goosebump inducing.

I hope if they are to make another album they follow this blend of heavy gritty sound mixed with the ambient psychedelic we have seen more recently. worth the wait and always happy to hear new Tool. The video should be a fun watch and pair to this update!

It's not bad, but it's no suprise at all. Still wondering why they chose to re-record it.

I really enjoyed the effects on the vocals leading up to the “scream” as well as the guitar tone throughout.

Well... that was a lot of fun!

Not surprisingly, the production is really neat. I got goosebumps when I heard the new percussion section, captured beautifully!
New vocal track is phenomenal, with the addition of the FX and his new delivery with certain lines... and of course the signature scream!

Hats off to Adam and the lads. 👏🏽

The middle section just reiterates how incredible an instrumental album would be, one long track without having to conform to any traditional song structure would be mind blowing. Jesus fucking christ Adam's tone these days is just incredible, I could listen to the new middle section forever, like the very end of Reflection, just play that for an hour on loop.

Definitely the two highlights for me. I feel jaded as I have become used to the amazing drum and bass work from Danny and Justin. The vocal effects especially in the second half coming out of the instrumental section are so good.

As a guitar player and bit of an AJ tone chaser…. My god. His rig is just searing these days. 5:55 🤤🤤🤤

That wasn't very good. Also oil is now $113 a barrel and Epstein didn't kill himself.
