Yeah, that's a drag. He was a very talented writer.
Also just learned we lost a great Jazz pianist the same day. Marion McPartland. She had a great show on NPR for many decades.

RIP in peace, may the angels guide you home
Ariel Castro, the man who held three women captive in his Cleveland home for about a decade, was found dead in his jail cell late Tuesday night, according to multiple reports.
Police are calling it a suicide, according to the Associated Press.

I think this is fodder for an interesting debate - namely, do we mourn the loss of someone's son, father, brother? Or do we rejoice, as there is now one less sick fucking cunt asshole fuckstain on the planet?
More importantly, what does our reaction say about us? Does being sensitive about an apparent suicide reveal an objective, rational, yet feeling aspect of our humanity? Or does it make us soft pussies for not loving the fact that this cunthole probably killed himself to escape all of the violent ass-rapings he was receiving from other savages?
On the other hand, does smiling and clinking a few beers over this dickstain's suicide make us callous - or does it all make us spiritual warriors, in the war to save our planet and future from the hands of those who would cause pain and horror on our loved ones?
Interesting stuff, if you think about it.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

If I'm going to think about it, I'd say it's a disappointment he robbed us of his punishment.

"We," do not give a rat's ass.
"We" have plenty of our own problems.

Re: RIP - The Dead Thread
I enjoyed all of Tom Clancy's books despite them getting a little cliched towards the end, so it's a little sad he's gone. The fact he'd only released one book in ages kinda suggested to me that something wasn't quite right with him, and I guess he death proves this.
