yay. i'll be at this one. how many different songs do you think they'll play between nights 1 and 2?

when i saw the 2 nokia LA shows in 2010 they did a remarkable 4 songs different between the 2 nights. this tour seems more static so i am guessing 2 diff songs, maybe 3.

As long as you're not holding it in the air recording long stretches of the show, or silly enough to pull it out right in front of security you'll be fine.

So when people were talking about Danny doing a drum solo it was actually the cover of B'boom?

It's a cover of about 30 seconds of B'Boom, so it's a bit of an exaggeration really...

Since i think 2013, people who have been posting on setlist.fm have called dannys drum/synth solo "b'boom" which is a king crimson song. I have listened to both, and i beliebe they are not the same. Just my opinion. I personally would just call it "danny carey drum solo".

At best you could say he played a "sample" of a song.

Sounds like it's just very similar.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

And while it's not a drum stick or a Tool setlist, I'll settle for:

He clearly "quotes" B'Boom in the solo, but I mean, that's something drummers do all the time in their solos. Doesn't make it a cover. He'd probably be pleased so many people spot it though.

Just want to give a big thanks to Kittaan and Ak-Rev for the sweet seat last night, dead center right above Junior and the soundboard.
Really nice of you both! Thank you gentleman 8-)

I think you already know the set. We got Hooker, Vicarious and Sober in place of Third Eye, Opiate and Pushit.

The 2nd night poster was a mirror image, as predicted.
First night, signed posters: $150 ..isn't that $20 more than previous shows?
Second night, both posters signed $400...interesting math. Seemed like merch lines were smaller tonight.

The three of them acknowledged the crowd with a warm response at the end of the show.
Danny got super big cheers!
