Billy discusses upcoming A Perfect Circle shows
I came across an interview with Billy Howerdel on Las Vegas Weekly today where he talks about the coming A Perfect Circle Las Vegas show, as well as the Soundwave and South American shows. He also talks about the probability of a new album:
The last A Perfect Circle album came out in 2004. Are you guys against putting out another one?
No, I’d love to—when the time is right. It would be awesome. I’m trying to write songs with that in mind, but … right now, I’m focusing most of my energy on a new Ashes Divide record, which is under way with 11 songs. Still working on finishing vocals and writing lyrics, and hopefully get that thing mixed in January or February.
Interesting interview, though doesn't reveal anything especially exciting...

I think it's a very thinly veiled money grab, and I agree that APC has run its course. I wouldn't compare APC and Puscifer because they're very different styles and much of APC was Billy's work. I enjoy them, and I really loved seeing their show, but it wasn't mind blowing in my opinion. Considering they've only written By and Down and it's been such a long while, I don't think the occasional tour and single is enough to keep them going.

I seriously thought the APC show at the Horden was better (in hindsight) than the two TOOL shows I was privy to.
It was more engaging, there was more light, and it was funny seeing and hearing the 'Nard having a little hissy-fit.
Really, really funny, come to think about it.

Might be right on the mark with that one, brother. I do believe, were I to guess, that it was 2003.
Great show. My gorgeous little American girlfriend at the time nervously asked me when we got there: "Is it, like, stupid to wear an APC T-shirt to their own concert?"
Me, looking at dudes in SLIPKNOT Ts: "No, sweetheart. It makes more sense than you realise."
Good times.
