Regarding Quality Control, from what I read about Ænima on Wiki it's all by design. Just screwin' around.bigboy55693 wrote:As far as I know it is the only official (non comissioned) print with a non black background.bonebroke wrote:bigboy55693 wrote:Cedar Park was misspelled as "Ceder" oops
Nice, whose in charge of that one?
-back to schoolin'
apc box (with a song listed that isn''t actually on the disc),
cedAr poster...c'mon guys.
QC not in full effect.
Is Cedar Park the only poster with a background other than pitch black?
I am so glad Houston got the pink color. I knew it was coming!
Not b/c I went to the show, IMO the CP is the best looking single print of the 2014 run. I like dyptich prints so SF wins that one.
Sydney 2013 is my fa from that year. That blue is amazing in person. I need night 1 Sydney and I will frame it.
Many regional versions stated the track times for tracks 3 and 4 in reverse. This is noted on all pressings from Australia, UK, and Europe.
Spokane: purple smoke, red star. cool. Portland: green is good, but maybe a purple star or yellow electricity? An image of California before and after a major earthquake is shown in the tray behind where the disc lies – a reference to the song "Ænema" and the Arizona Bay sketch by Bill Hicks. The inlay image of the US incorrectly depicts Oklahoma's panhandle. It is unknown whether or not this was intentional.
Reno poster has elements of SF and Vegas: the multi color electricity (SF rainbow) and the skull starting to go purple. I like that one a lot.
Fresno has grey letters for T O O L, like the grey background of Ceder, and Reno's style of purple skull.
Then Vegas skull goes blue-purple-violet before turning violet-blue in Ceder
That's cool. Were they selling these template posters at the Phoenix show?
The skulls nose, it's the same as Maynard's signature on these posters, 'M'.

Looks nice. Did you do it yourself?jk7957 wrote:I've framed and matted my "Ceder" Park copy. I think someone else mentioned doing the same thing. Some of it was cut off because of the odd size, but I was just working with what I had available.
I approved your post. You might want to drop Hellboy a note (if your PMs are working) asking to be taken off the moderation list.

I did do it myself. I had the frame and mat from something else. I'll see what I can do to get taken off the list.

Nice. I have a few posters with stubs but don't think I'll be using them for this set. Also, I don't have a stub for the Vegas poster...
What frame shop did you use?

I'm in Dallas as well... I've been looking for a new place to take my posters. Is it a small shop or chain?hurricanebama wrote: I use a frame shop in Frisco, Texas. I live north of Dallas.

Without going back to look at your pic, I am going to say the reflection shows a certain poster from the Tabernacle circa May 15 2001.

That poster discussion is how we met on TA. How could I forget that? I have mine hanging at the end of the hallway by the bathroom. I get to see it more than the ones in my TooL room.
Re: North America 2014 Tour Official Posters Thread
I'm noted I think as being a real optimist with this band, and generally liking everything they do. But damn... change up the poster situation next time. Hell, I even really enjoy Adam's art but the text/layout of these things could be SO much better. You have a really cool image/drawing and then seemingly... eh, throw some text on there. Doesn't matter where really. Just get it on there and print it up.
Come on. For a band that's so entrenched in "art for art's sake," the layout and overall design of these things doesn't tickle my creative side in the way their posters used to. I have a feeling the new album being finished will awaken a lot of creative energy though and the next tours will reflect that.

I always go to Hobby Lobby for my framing needs. Their custom frames are always 50% off, and you can print a coupon out for another 40% off one item. I always use it for the glass. If you're looking for something really custom, a real frame shop would be better. But for your normal framing needs, the price cant' be beat.
Another bonus for Hobby Lobby is the availability of Museum Glass. It's pretty expensive (so use the coupon!), but it's without a doubt worth it. I was skeptical of how much a difference it would make until I saw it first hand in a side by side on my poster. The colors really pop and it just flat out looks better.
Plus, it's fun to take my "devil" posters into Hobby Lobby, a super conservative chain

I've seen pics of peoples media rooms full of Tool prints that total out in sum to be worth more than you average new car.

At least he doesn't write excited blogs about Tool possibly coming out with an album this year then PRETENDS like he is SO angry at them for taking so long to release their next album (to please another member of this FAN forum for some reason?)Calfium Jay wrote:
