Not Tyson wrote:i can't switch off who I am, never have, never will. I crave intelligent discussion. I'm here mainly because of the infinity forum. We have had some great discussions through it. I honestly never saw myself as someone trolling, rather asking others how they reached their point of view and asking them to think from a different point. Sure this adds a lot of unnecessary vitriol to the argument but it's an attempt to bring them around to a new way of thinking. As pompous as it sounds, it's basically why a band like Tool exist, question reality and all that.
That's the spirit. I fully believe the genuine-ness do this post. I really do...
hellboy wrote:The main reason I see a lot of these controversial opinions as trolling, is because quite often they feel like nothing more than thinly veiled traps set up for others to rant against. I didn't really want to call people out in this thread, but I will in order to give an example. Califum posted the other day in regards to his "relaxed" attitude to pedophilia. My opinion (and perhaps I interpreted this incorrectly) was that the post was mostly made in order to have others on the forum "rage" against it. I actually suspect Califum isn't really "relaxed" on pedophilia at all, but he sure did enjoy the reaction the post generated. This kind of baiting and raging is something that in my opinion, drags the forum down and needs to stop. If this is the reason why any of you come to Fourtheye, then I encourage you to either change the way you post, or move on.
Using this as an example, how are a couple of Tyson's post in the WC thread post Belgium's 2 goals anything but "enjoying the reaction" he was hoping would come or "baiting and raging" knowing the number of posters on here from the US and that follow the club?
And again, like I said in the other thread, maybe I just missed all the jokes because my participation in the forum has decreased for reasons I mentioned.
My co-worker yesterday said that we're like a married couple.
She also joked about "having [me] on the end of the desk".
Later she commented that she's going to cry when she has to move and sit around the corner with someone else for an hour later in the week.
Both of us have developed the reputation of being able to do anything and everything with regard to our job and the project, by nine different people. Not sure how, since I have no idea what I'm doing.
I blame Positivity Week for all this shit.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage.
She's married, and I have a long-suffering girlfriend. Well, not THAT much suffering, considering how fucking awesome I am.
Probably won't be telling her about my new friend too much, though.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.
