Looks like Phil is about to host a picnic on his fucking shirt.

Either that or it's Halloween and he's dressed as a Pizza Hut table.

Phil has permanent "high voice" like when you call your friend early on a Saturday to remind him to meet you at a predetermined location and specific time. and you get that feeling after hearing him speak that there's no fucking way he shows up lol.

Paul George just fucking SNAPPED his shin in the USA Basketball exhibition game. It was gruesome. I can't believe what I just saw... his career may be over. Fuck, what a drag.

From what I remember with the Louisville kid from last year, his injury was actually not as bad as it looked because his muscles weren't torn or anything. Maybe that will be the case here.

Or I might be talking out of my ass? I think if his muscles are ok then it shouldn't be career threatening? I mean geez, look at Shaun Livingston.

Nah, he's fine. It turns out he was actually just wearing a lot of socks to make himself look taller.

Feel bad for Paul, reminded me of when I watched the Silva fight live. Worthy of a cringe, but had to watch it again. Hope he makes a quick recovery.

Paul George suffered a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula. Will be in surgery for two hours, to get a pin placed in his leg.
11:15 PM - 1 Aug 2014
People are hopeful that PG's injury is a good kind, because it was a clean break. However, ancillary damage will be known after surgery
11:17 PM - 1 Aug 2014
Conflicting reports but several people I've talked to said that bone did in fact go through PG's skin.
11:18 PM - 1 Aug 2014
Paul George expected to be hospitalized 2-3 days in Las Vegas.
11:22 PM - 1 Aug 2014

No timetable on PG's injury but would safely assume that it will take him at least 6 months to get back moving. More time needed for play
I think that's very optimistic. This may be career ending. Sure hope not, he's just getting into his prime. What a blow, poor guy!

I don't think Derrick Rose was on his couch smoking blunts the last 2 seasons.

Hell no.

But Kevin Love is. Especially paired with Lebron. The East will be more interesting this season.

Thanks for the correction, that's about how much I know about the dude. I've heard he is overrated, but I will have to watch to make my own judgement.

He's a machine when it comes to double doubles. Solid and consistent. Set a record last season I believe for most consecutive double doubles

yeah he's definitely consistent when it comes to getting hurt. he hasn't played 80 games since his first season. I also like how Kyrie finally played 70 games when he was due a massive contract extension. I hope Lebron has a plan B because teams are going to be looking to hurt his supporting cast on that court. some muscle bound guy with a beard who plays 7 minutes a game (every team has one) is going to upend someone and put them in a suit for 3 months. good luck LBJ!!

The USA Basketball National Team announced the 12 players who will represent the United States at the 2014 FIBA (International Basketball Federation) Basketball World Cup that is being held Aug. 30-Sept. 14 in Spain.

Named as members of the official 2014 USA Basketball World Cup Team were: DeMarcus Cousins (Sacramento Kings); Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors); Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans); DeMar DeRozan (Toronto Raptors); Andre Drummond (Detroit Pistons); Kenneth Faried (Denver Nuggets); Rudy Gay (Sacramento Kings); James Harden (Houston Rockets); Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers); Mason Plumlee (Brooklyn Nets); Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls); and Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors).

Damian Lillard, Chandler Parsons, Kyle Korver and Gordon Hayward were left off the World Cup roster.
So stoked that both Steph and Klay made the cut. Hope they remain healthy.

Also really glad that Chandler Parsons got cut. Hate that dufus.
