i mean, there is got to be something loaded on there, right? Â its not just a blank usb storage device, is it?
Maybe they've loaded all of their own amateur porn videos onto it. Now you can actually fap fap fap while watching DC or Justin or Adam or MJK give it to their women.

Can we all just agree now that TOOL are a bunch of money grubbing whores? Yes we all love their music and are chomping at the bit for a new album. They make great music. We will all be in line cash in hand when the new album comes out. But TOOL has become seriously disconnected from reality. I seriously doubt they will even sell all 5000 copies of this shit Opiate re-release.

Yes.
Yes and Yes.
Yes!
Likely Yes.
Clearly, Yes.
No.

Of coarse they will sell all of them mog, easily. Which is also part of why its so ridiculous lol. Â Not to mention that all it contains is a picture of a painting by someone else, a USB with sticker on it of a blown up portion of the same painting. Â What's on the USB? Most likely a digital version of the same fucking painting Lol. Â But i could be wrong and I hope I am. The whole USB thing doesn't make sense to me, and the fact that Blair's interviews with te band have been withheld until after there sold leads me to think there maybe something special includedÂ

I'm kinda hoping it's the video for The Pot, but I doubt it. If it is a digital version of the artwork, however, that would be pretty cool. I imagine it would be something like an iTunes LP-like thing.Â
If that's the case, "for the fans" turns into, "for the REAL fans who can incidentally afford this".
I'm not saying I couldn't afford it - but I am saying that I shouldn't be punished for not going through this whole rigmarole, just so I can have "The Pot" video before all the other fans.

Their concerts are also for real fans who can afford them.
Let's not overreact here - if there is a copy of the Pot inside the package, it will be on the internet within 5 minutes of the first person getting their copy in the mail.

i think the USB is a joke. literally. they always bitch about downloading so they charge $150 for a rerelease of a 21 year old EP, update art, and include a blank USB with their name on it. kind of funny, really. like "hey, we know you are going to download our shit but we just got paid so here is a USB drive to make you remember that you are still our bitch" Â
thats what i see it as.
a well played joke
I'm surprised they didn't throw in a limited edition pen and calculator. Spiral Out!

Concerts aren't re-releases of twenty-one year old music that you already own, sold at fifteen times the original price.
Re: "The Pot" - that's why I was asking if there was a way to limit the ability of the owner of such a USB to upload whatever was on it to the intersuperhighwayinformationweb.

There really isn't a way for them to keep someone from uploading it. Someone will figure out a way to do it.
