I'd probably watch a Bill and Ted's III. That's as far as I will reach to watch a Keanu film.

Oh come on, the Matrix films were great.

I watched the intriguing trailer to The Last Man On Earth a couple of days ago. I'm with the critics I fail to see how the premise could possibly sustain a series but I may just have to give it a go.

Gone Girl was indeed an excellent film Kittan.

I'm sure Gone Girl is a good film, but having read the book already I found it hard to get more than about halfway through without losing motivation to keep watching.

I think Pike's performance by itself is worth watching it.

David Fincher has been knocking it out of the park since Alien 3. guy never ever ever disappoints. and John Wick was a silly action movie but I love that Keanu still does all of his own stunts, which is much more fun to watch than Liam "shaky cam" Neeson pretending like he does. everyone got a head shot too, no dicking around from Mr. Johnny Utah!!!

speaking of not dicking around (hehe), has anyone seen "Blue Is The Warmest Color"? it was one of the most graphic sexual movies I've ever seen lol I was not prepared for the scissoring at all. incredible work by those two young ladies, bravo I say, bravo!

I googled that trailer and it has certainly had rave reviews with tomato giving it in the 90's. Thanks for the tip!

I'm creating a separate thread for this series. I remember thinking that about a number of ultimately great series. Good writers find a way. Just watched the second episode from last night... great twist at the end, and it's just fun. And Will Forte is fantastic.

Re: Keanu - he's so wooden, I find it hard to suspend my disbelief... The first Matrix flick was really good. Tapered off sharply, with the 3rd one being horrendous. Point Break was definitely excellent, but in spite of, rather than because of Reeves.

Personally I wouldn't say any of the Matrix movies were horrendous. The first one set a high bench mark, that's for sure but the last two are a little unfairly maligned in my opinion.

Commando

John Matrix: Where is she, Sully?
Sully: Kiss my ass!
John Matrix: I can't hear you!
Sully: I'll say it a little louder, get fucked!
John Matrix: Listen, loyalty is very touching. But it is not the most important thing in your life right now! But what IS important is gravity! I have to remind you Sully, this is my weak arm!
Sully: You can't kill me Matrix! You need me to find your daughter!
John Matrix: Where is she?
Sully: I don't know. But Cooke knows, I'll take you to where I'm supposed to meet him!
John Matrix: But you won't.
Sully: Why not?
John Matrix: Because I already know. Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?
Sully: That's right, Matrix! You did!
John Matrix: I lied.

^Great fucking dialog, action movie or not. The action in Commando is so ridiculous that it's art. No action star comes close to 80's to early 90's Arnold.

And Predator is a god damn masterpiece. In my Top 5.

[BBvideo 560,340][/BBvideo]First Blood- Stallone nailed it, as did Brian Dennehy & Dick Crenna. Young David Caruso. One of my favorite films!
Commando- Arnold- Awesome! Alyssa M.- kiddo venturing in to the wave beyond Who's the Boss.

I'm with you Ravenpig- I certainly love that era of US films.

I know every single line to that movie lol. the one that still makes me laugh every time is "we take Cook's car...he won't be needing it" hahahahaha. fucking guy storms the beach in a speedo and destroys an entire army of mercenaries. and the part where he speaks spanish? I think it should be "como esta" but it comes out "comy-stah" hahahahaha

I love most Schwarzenegger movies. I think Total Recall is probably my favorite though. Predator is excellent, and The Running Man is a little underrated I reckon.

The Running Man is very underrated. did you know the leaders of the underground resistance in the movie are played by none other than Dweezil Zappa and Mick Fleetwood?!

Waaay better on blu ray than in the cinema.....for some reason.
