I'm not sure I've seen any of the post-Gutenberg Police Academies. Iread on wikipedia that they're making #8 though, with Shaq as Hightower (as the original actor has died).

The first Police Academy will always hold a special place in my heart. I don't really have a good enough memory to rank the other 3 that I've seen though. Might be time for a marathon sometime soon.

Shaq is the new Hightower? That actually sounds like a perfect re-cast.

And to be honest, post-Guttenberg the only must watch is the Miami one. It's fun.

I could do with a marathon as well.

Police Academy 8 would be an automic theater trip for me.

I did a Twin Peaks marathon once.

Drank lots of coffee.

Felt crappy the next day.

This talk about sci-fi movies got me thinking about Beyond The Black Rainbow which I watched for the first time a few weeks back and really enjoyed it. It's like a trippy throwback '70s sci-fi flick directed by Panos Cosmatos son of George Cosmatos, who directed Rambo: First Blood Part II and Tombstone. The film was actually financed through residuals from DVD sales of Tombstone. I'd recommend it if you haven't seen it.

She died in 2002. I love the Police Academy movies.
She was also in Sixteen Candles as Long Duck Dong's grandma.

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
IMAX 3D
10/10

Holy fucking shit...
High-octane-adrenaline-packed-road-crazy-saga-whatever-you-want-to-call-it, I don't care, this is the best movie I've seen this year in a theatre, kudos to Mr.Miller, just fucking brilliant. And those tribal drums from the soundtrack are still echoing in my ears and brain. Dieselpunk is brought back to life, woo-hoo!!
- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

I'll be going out to see it hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I was a little underwhelmed by the last trailer as I've mentioned before, but it's good to see it's getting some excellent reviews. I'll be surprised if I don't like it!

Saw mad max. Loved it. Great action and really like how it didn't take itself to seriously. Laughed out loud a couple of times and it blew my mind with the visual effects. Fun crazy movie and no way could I watch it in 3D.

People that have saw it say that the trailer does the film no justice.

I might have a complex but I think if I posted how great this Mad Max movie was this thread would have gone in a completely different direction  especially from Hellboy.
