Unpopular (?) opinion: To me Tool isn't exactly "vinyl music". While the records certainly sound great and are nice to have and look at, I find the distribution of fewer but longer tracks over more vinyl sides makes it a hassle to listen and change the record every 10-15 minutes.
Regardless of the music itself, I end up listening much more often to vinyl records where the albums are structured with the vinyl format in mind from the get go and use the space efficiently.
These days I buy most of my records on vinyl, but I'm really not sure about Tool.

I'll buy anything that they will put on vinyl. Just to have something big to look at. To be busy with their music and packaging gives me a thrill.

It's unclear to me why it's harder to flip a disc on a Tool album than any other?

Not "harder" of course, but more often (e.g. if only one 10-15 minute song fits on a side) - pulling me out of the flow of the album each time.
To me Tool are a CD age band - they structure their albums with a 80 minute timeframe, long songs and no "breaks for format" in mind. Works well on CD and digital - not so much on vinyl, especially if they have to switch the track order like with "Disposition" on Lateralus.

Just look at it as a Holy Gift of sorts?
Do I need to remind people that 13 years down the road there’s still no 10KD vinyl? I’m not holding my breath.

Zig, this was not up to your usual high standards with that extremely blown out audio.

Here's to hoping it's not a picture disc that takes away from the sound quality.

I didn't find any other good records from this show at the current moment, so... Welcome to the VHS era

What’s the story with the red 10,000 Days unofficial vinyl? Does anyone have it? Doesn’t appear available at discogs but curious.

They removed the black photo from their Instagram just now. Could mean nothing. Who knows

They removed the black image from Their official Instagram. Do you think it was just a test image?

Junior have you gotten any time to work with the lighting for new songs we haven’t heard for after the album release? Or are you busy dialing in the two we have?

That image is a pretty low effort photoshop, so not really surprised they might remove it.

Nice short article where Knobby talks about some of the mics and processed used for capturing Tool's live sound:
60 days of abstinence. I'm hoping for an announcement in the next couple weeks.

I’m rowing with you, Bill.
To hear new Tool presented in final form will be well worth the wait!
Not much longer now.

As Nobby put it, “The visual element is always at the heart of this show with audio being the silk stitching to complete the purse."
Hmmmm
Sounds like the kind of bollox you would come out with.

This is a cool article, wish it was longer. I have the Dark Side of the Moon guitar tab book, and there's an old interview with Peter Watts (Naomi's dad) in it about Floyd's custom, state-of-the-art sound system and it's fascinating.
