Yeah this thread is boring as fuck. I'm guessing something gets announced tomorrow 19/07/2019
19 + 7 + 2019= 2045.
2045 less current year being 2019 = 26 years.
Tool released undertow in 1993 which ... You guessed it... IS TWENTY SIX YEARS OLD!!!! now here's where it gets really weird.
its been 13 years since they last released an album. Thirteen is exactly half of Twenty Six so 13 * 2 = 26.
Now if you break that down further you'll see that 2 PLUS 6 = 8 & once again divide that by two, you're left with the number 4.
Their are exactly four members in the band Tool.
I rest my case.
Blew me away.
And fixed it for you.

Dude posted this on Reddit just before - I'd forgotten about it - it's different from the promo of similar length used for the music clinic advert, which is essentially the Descending we've heard now.
Bleeds (bleeds?) well into beginning of Descending.
Seems to be more than a jam or part of an evolution that became Descending as we know it now. Justin in particular is polished and pronounced enough to make me think it's not something they'd scrap.
So... Ascending??
I'm wondering if this is what Invincible eventually became. I saw them debut(?) this in Reno and it melted my face. Thought we were actually getting a new song at first, and whether or not it's on the new album, I'll always consider this one of the best Tool riffs/jams ever.

...seems like there is an awful lot of people just waiting around for this album drop. i mean literally at their computer 24/7 waiting for any inkling of news.
Haven't you got better things to be getting on with
you've got a point there! i went out later on and did a bunch of stuff, even hit a rat crossing the road which was gross, never had that happen before :S before that though came on early to see if anything was going to happen today. sweet f all as usual!
even if the album isnt amazing i'll be happy to have all this waiting over with.
being the demo was out last friday i hope this friday doesnt just mean the release of Opiate digitally. maybe the Opiate video though ? im not that excited for a new video for a song thats 27 years old. i'll watch it but still.
Clutching at straws tonight, but with San Diego Comic con kicking off, I wouldn't put it past Adam wanting to time an announcement with that. I wonder if there's a prevent of other bands announcing albums at similar events?
Don’t tease me man. I was just about ok with not checking every day then the fake ep came out and I’m calming back down. Wouldn’t it be in their interests to not announce it when something else big is going on?
i never knew bands to announce album news at something like SDCC, do they ? Adam loves comics and Adi (comic dude) work together. it makes sense in those regards but i cant see why they would do it at SDCC really. unless he wants to give Adi a boost. will found out tomorrow i guess.
I like the idea. A cross-promotional unveiling of the new Tool artwork alongside his comic book buddy. Then the album details announcement dovetails on whatever other media they plan to utilize, website, Twitter etc. I don’t follow this stuff, so no clue if there’s a scheduled panel where something like this fits.
Also how cool to get a comic or graphic novel inspired by the various Tool characters, themes, concepts, artwork, videos throughout the years. Maybe the preying mantis gal makes an appearance this weekend.
A comic book or graphic novel would be about the lamest shit Tool could do. Tool characters? What do you want them to release fucking action figures next? You can put mini Maynard in a jujitsu stance right there on your nightstand.
Something is fucking wrong with some of these redditors

I made a fusilli Maynard and put it on my nightstand. It’s lit real well with the Star Wars night light that I have behind it.
Tried to find a full panel schedule but keep getting routed into the "hottest" panel lineup which amounts to silly Marvel shit. Not worth the effort as it's likely not happening anyway. I do like the graphic novel idea though.

That sounded terrible but then ended up sounding awesome.

Yeah a McFarlane band set would be cool too. Not sure I'd pay money for it but maybe an interesting design. Gotta pick the right MJK regalia.
Yup would love a McFarlane set! Would be super corny but I have the Kiss set even though I’m not a fan. Still love Spawn action figures and still have a pretty legit set.
Just spit balling, but maybe they are so against the status quo, that there will be No More announcement, the album will simply be available August 30th. Certainly leaks of places getting it, but no more confirmation from the band. Seems to be how they do things now so wouldn’t be that weird really.
We are offically 3/4ths of the way through July and have no updates! Im starting to loose faith a little bit fellows. Have we all agreed that 'MMIX' isn't actually the title? I have a feeling that it might be but who knows.

Plenty of opinions from some one who doesn't give a fuck about packaging.
I'm not suggesting that there will be a comic released by the way, but if there was I doubt is going to be Maynard as Superman or some shit
