Movie/TV News
Re: Movie/TV News
^Nice! Yeah, there are a lot of movies I'd like to see on a list around here somewhere.
Just finished watching Almodovar's 'The Skin I Live In.' It was definitely a trip.
Also really looking forward to 'The Revenant.' Hoping to catch that one in the theaters if I can. Looks great.

that's a little overly dramatic now boys, wouldn't you say? I'm no DC fanboy but it doesn't look "bad", not great maybe but not horrid. I actually like BatFleck's voice, not as silly as Chritian Bale's. it might be a good time, an entertaining comic book movie. let's watch it first before we bury it with it's pansy red booties.Calfium Jay wrote:hellboy wrote:Yeah, Superman vs Batman looks laughably bad at the moment, but no real shocks there.
It WAS bad. "Jar Jar Binks" bad.
Asteroids do not concern me, Admiral. I want that ship, not excuses.
Re: Movie/TV News
New X-men Apocalypse trailer. Not really blown away with what I'm seeing to be honest, but I'm likely to check it out anyway:
Re: Movie/TV News
I'll most likely end up seeing X-Men Apocalypse. Those movies tend to be fun, although I think I skipped seeing Wolverine Origins and X-Men First Class in the theater. Still actually haven't seen Wolverine Origins. I'd heard it was bad.
Not sure about Independence Day at this point though.
Just watched Ant-Man over the weekend, and it was entertaining.

no way it out does "Days Of Future Past" that movie was badass.hellboy wrote:New X-men Apocalypse trailer. Not really blown away with what I'm seeing to be honest, but I'm likely to check it out anyway:

oh no they didn't lol. they even brought back the Jewish caricatures!!!!! hell yeah!! where is Will Smith and his stripper girlfriend?! I guess he couldn't get his horrible son involved so he bowed out.hellboy wrote:

The Wolverine? yes, Wolverine Origins? no. Ant-Man was wildly entertaining.nxrm wrote:I'll most likely end up seeing X-Men Apocalypse. Re: Movie/TV News
Not sure I've seen Origins or heard much about it, but The Wolverine was better than I expected.
Re: Movie/TV News
I think I may have referenced that incorrectly: the title was actually X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and had Liev Shreiber as Sabretooth.hellboy wrote:Not sure I've seen Origins or heard much about it, but The Wolverine was better than I expected.
The Wolverine was alright though.
Finished watching The Man From Uncle last night. I enjoyed it. Stylish, well written, directed and acted. Guy Ritchie's no slouch.

Re: Movie/TV News
J.K. keeps milking that teet huh? however, I did check IMDB and if Yates is directing (check) and it has a great cast (double check) I'll have to take wifey with me to go see it. that way I look not as fruity pants.

Prometheus - take one group of blank faced college dropouts, make sure they've never worked as a group before - then add one billionaire Snow Queen who seems to know nothing about anything and a ship's captain who by rights should be captaining nothing more than a tollbooth, send them on a trillion dollar journey across the far reaches of the universe to answer some of the most important and fundamental questions ever posed by humankind.......then watch them all fuck up a cup of coffee.
Yeah, my expectations for this sequel are high.

This was fascinating. Excellent documentary from Trujillo. Made me quite sad, but well worth the watch.

Finishes watching River on Netflix, as a really interesting show, though I wouldn't say it's mandatory viewing. If you like British cop shows, or shows about mental illness, then definitely check it out. 7/0
Moving onto Peaky Blinders now.

I just finished watching Making A Murderer. It was pretty fucked up. I definitely recommend checking it out.

Just finished the Jeffrey Dahmer Files on Hulu. It was pretty good if you already know about the case.

‘Doctor Strange’: First Look at Benedict Cumberbatch as the Marvel Superhero
“I’m still in the infancy of learning all that,” Cumberbatch told EW of learning the character’s mannerisms. “It was like, okay, I’ve got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically. I’m thinking, there’s going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I’m still working on that. We haven’t played any of those scenes yet. I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It’s like anything, you just have to experiment.”
“There’s going to be crazy s— going on,” he added.
anyone else getting super pumped about this flick?

Re: Movie/TV News
Dr. Strange never did it for me as the main attraction. Maybe his movie version might prove otherwise.

Yes it is. The guy has a newer movie they just added called "Upstream Color". Sounds interesting as well.
