Oooooh, I like. Cool Floyd-esque undertones on that first song. Bonus points for being engineered/mixed by Toshi.

Seconded!

edit: Seriously, these guys have a really cool vibe going. Thanks, Mog!

^ Right on Joey. I am digging the shit out of this album. Production is excellent as you mentioned above they worked with Toshi. Dale Crover from the Melvins also co-produced it and Chris Commons (worked with Pelican and Palms) mastered it.

I think they may have set some sort of Wah record as well on this one, haha. Don't mind it though, if it fits it fits.

Yeah that album is nuts. Still desperately need to catch up to the rest of these. One day, when I have unlimited data on my goddamned phone...

Unlimited data on a phone is just a pipe dream over here. Most of us are lucky to get more than 1GB on our plans.

I had 1.2Gig for AU$20 a month in Oz.

Fucking 0.5Gig for NZ$30 a month here. And it fucking sucks. In a major city.

Joey, Hellboy, Boss

phones and data and stuff
pardon my old school, 1985 box phone using ignorance, but what does 1gb, etc., actually equate to in terms of internet use on a mobile device? Seems like next to nothing as far as data consumption goes ... I mean relatively speaking, that's like 10 minutes of streaming HD porn before we're back on free aol dial-up, "oh my god, here comes a nipple" tutrtle speed, no?

I think I have 1GB per month before I start getting overage charges. Essentially what that means is I kind of do whatever the fuck I was BESIDES stream any kind of music/video other than the odd movie trailer/youtube clip every now and then.

With wifi so accessible, you can usually wait til you're connected before going crazy on the giggage. I was grandfathered in on an unlimited data plan which my carrier no longer offers. I will go nuts when I want with zero worries. The only downside is that I can't use tethering, which is pretty sweet to have when you need it.

Really wanted to put all 3 of their releases up here but I'll start at the beginning... A quick, 32 minute EP.

Seconded!

'above the earth, below the sky' is where it's at with these fellas ... been diggin' on that record since it was released ... in nearly the same vein, you'll probably like 'Avoid the Light' by Long Distance Calling ... their last release introduced a singer, which ruined them for me, but the stuff before is solid ... didn't find them on bandcamp, so
