Censored because logical, critical thinking is so out of fashion in this cancel culture society.

Some band we know used this quote. So I assume a forum with that band as the core may use it. lolz.Think for yourself, question authority
Think for yourself, question authority
Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening
Terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in
This ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the
Religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by
Giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their
View of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and
Learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness;
Chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself
Think for yourself

Júnior, I know I am jumping the gun. Just hoping you had heard some positive things about getting started again. You said "WHEN I WAS WORKING WITH SOAD" Did you work with SOAD? I was able to see them back in 05 or 06 and these guys do a great job live. I hate Gibson SG guitars, but Daron made this guitar sound very fucking powerful.junior wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 10:59 amThey were still playing "Opiate" in 2013? I haven't worked for them since 2003, so I'm not up on what they are like now. When I was with SOAD, Bizkit were on an Australian festival tour with us (Soundwave 2012). I think that's the only time I've seen them since 2003. The sound guy they had back in 2003 was also on that tour with another band (Alter Bridge) and he and I went out front to watch Bizkit the first day of the tour. We looked at each other on the way to FOH and realized how weird it was to be making that trip together again, but not in a working capacity.Bobby Bottleservice wrote: ↑Wed Feb 03, 2021 8:44 pmjunior wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:25 pm
Wes was always a bit different than the other 4 guys.
I'd heard that he once told an interviewer that he wouldn't listen to Limp Bizkit if he wasn't in the band.
I had some good times with them. I don't want to make it sound like it was all negative. The "Opiate" cover was just too weird for me.
Ok, so I looked up some interviews and it seems that Wes and Fred are pretty down to earth, so I can see that you would have some fun times together. I also had to look up Limp B and Opiate again. it is a 2013 show and the band sounded really good, but I can not lie, Fred still sounded like crap. He is obviously not a real singer.
Junior, I do hope that you guys get going late this year (maybe wishful thinking). Any optimistic talk from you and your crew?
I haven't heard any plans for this year, but the crew often don't hear about plans right away. I think everyone is still watching the situation to see how it's going. I wouldn't doubt that management and the booking agent are at least putting together hypotheticals. They are constantly doing that, anyway.

The 2 times I've seen SOAD they were terrible

I did check out the links, and it was immediately unclear what kind of peer reviews had occured on these articles. Just because they say it is, doesn't mean it's so.basejumper wrote: ↑Thu Feb 04, 2021 11:34 pm

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
What do you think about these variants ? When they first broke the news about the UK variant in Dec, only a couple times on the news cycles i heard them mention it was first found in SEPT. The rest of the times they left the SEPT part out. Gee, i wonder why ? for 3 months it wasnt a problem but just before Christmas/the Winter they bring it up, admitting more testing needed to be done even then, to see if it was more contagious. I kinda get why they waited (all that shits worse during colder months) but still, thats decieving. Now 'variants' is a common thing which may be true but still 3 months is a long time, clearly it wasnt doing much difference in the Fall. They played it safe but it still makes me wonder how worse variants are if those 3 months nothing was worth reporting until the Winter. I get it but i didnt care for how they handled that one.
i wear a mask and all that and do what im suppose to. im not against any of that but how that was reported at first was decieving and questionable.
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Everything is questionable to a certain point.
And variants was expected. The 'normal' flu also changes every year and every year people can get a new flu shot.
Same with covid. The original variant was a year around and the new variant(s) emerged.
So, one wonders, a new vaccine every year needed? Every year lockdowns all over the place? To much fuzz? When will the moment come that the majority says: we had it. If the weak and elderly die: so be it. Is all of this worth to see the youth paying the price?

Yeah. Haven't heard a peep. I've been trying to get my foot back in the door for TV work, since it doesn't seem like touring will be back soon. Being out of town for most of the past 2 years caused me to slide down and/or out of the address books of Gaffers and Best Boys since they knew I wasn't around. Right now I'm taking whatever I can get to try to re-establish myself in that world, because I have a feeling it will be my only way to make a living for a while.Bobby Bottleservice wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 8:55 pm Júnior, I know I am jumping the gun. As far as SOAD, I started with them in May 2011 when they got back together after their 5 year "hiatus" and was with them until August 2013.
