I did not see this when I went looking earlier. Was it in the Infinity forum?

I've read a lot of bad reviews about Heritage. Is it really that bad? I'm gonna hear it for the first time tonight.

I didn't hate it, but I don't ever listen to it. It's more boring than anything else.

New Opeth? Quite likely the best music to hear in 2014- so far it's Opiate live in Eugene.
Heritage reviews- boring, terrible - critics had the same review for Led Zeppelin III. Zeppelin followed up with arguably the best album, ever

Pretty much agree with your assessment of it. It was pretty boring. Forgot it was on a few times.....and I was hearing it through earbuds! Easily the weakest from their albums I've heard.

August 25th release hell fucking yeah. Mixed by Steven Wilson. My dick is hard.

This is their 11th...that's right...11th full length release since 1995. Not to mention the multiple live albums, DVD's, etc. I know that is probably a difficult concept for Tool fans to wrap their brains around. A professional group of musicians with a solid work ethic and high level of professionalism.

Opeth > Tool

Has it's moments musically but that's a pretty weak track for Opeth. The vocals annoyed the shit out of me.

Yeah, I found it to be pretty underwhelming myself. It doesn't feel complete. I kept waiting for it to kick it into high gear and instead it just peters out with a lame solo. Vocals didn't really bother me. It was more interesting than anything on Heritage, but if this is what the whole album is like I don't see myself listening to it all that much.

Anyways it made me throw on Blackwater Park, so I'm rocking out to that right now.

I don't dislike this new song, that palm muted riff is great, they can just do better. I mean if this is the worst song on the album then it's probably going to be a pretty good album.
