Fuck yes. Dune deserves a much less campy version. Sting can sit this one out.
Can’t wait to see the trailer.

Hey Norm! Despite Ty’s prediction, looks good to me. We shall see.
Floyd tune was a nice touch. Eclipsed by the Dune.

Yeah, looks good...although I've read that it's only the first half of the book?
Here's hoping they can get the second half completed.

I like Pink Floyd, some albums a lot, but that did not fit in this trailer...

Yeah, it did feel a bit off, but...I've read that when Alejandro Jodorowsky's was trying to get his version of Dune made, he wanted Pink Floyd to score the movie. I think this may be Villeneuve acknowledging that.
I believe that Hans Zimmer is handling this soundtrack, so it'll probably be something a bit different.

I've never been able to get into the book, but I feel like I should re-read it based on this because it looks cool as fuck!

I had started reading it years ago and gave up about a third of the way in. I remember it being a bit of a slog.
I actually picked it up again last year and really enjoyed it this time around.

Just watched the Lynch/Kyle MacLachlan Dune flick again for the first time in decades. Enjoyed it, but damn is it campy. I’m looking forward to seeing the remake, not least for the SE.
I was surprised to see Captain Picard as Gurney. Did not remember that at all.
As far as the books, I may revisit the first book too. Read it a couple of times over the years and loved it. Very well written and extremely engaging story and character development. The sequels and related volumes were a bit of a slog.

You're fucking kidding right?!?!?!?!?!?
about the book or the trailer?

Calfium was spluttering his cornflakes over your 'cool as fuck' comment as clearly he doesn't think so...this coming from a guy who likes Butthole Surfers.
