I think it may have something to do with the new album.

The closer uses pitches to get the job done . Maynard uses pitches as well to get the job done. From his arsenal he may throw a curveball.
A curveball in baseball is used to deceive the batter into believing an optical illusion. This could be referring to the albums artwork, which may include optical illusions. Also in baseball when the catcher wants the pitcher to throw a curve, they indicate that with 2 fingers. The curveball could very well mean a double album is in the works. Outside the context of baseball, "to throw a curveball" essentially translates to introducing a significant deviation to a preceding concept. A double album, new, live or a combo, certainly would be deviation.

we all want new music to listen...they should give us what we want...we are not asking something out of proportion... just musicians doing music. At least... everyday we are closer to this goal, i just wonder how it will sound since all albums are different.
