Not what I was hoping for. Admittedly I was after more of the ambient, industrial noisescapes and "submerged" vocal effects that came to characterize Streetcleaner.
Hmmmm....
Oh well...it's new Godflesh. I'll still buy it.
Obviously.

"ANIMAL MOTHER" is out soon from based Steve Austin (TODAY IS THE DAY). Same thing I guess. Whatever.
I've chatted to him on Facebook, and he's pretty much the same as Mike Sheidt (sp) in my opinion: Incredibly grateful and lovely human beings who make music that my gorgeous co-worker would hate.
Justin Brodrick (again, sp) I've found to be a bit of a prick, but still normal. Love JESU. GODFLESH are good for one album (and you know which one it is).
Big "meh" on that front for me.

Yeah...judging from the samples this is shaping up to be something of a disappointment.
I expect so much more from that guy.

Hella. In my experience, though, he's incredibly over-rated.
And still no one celebrates FOETUS/J. G. Thirwell.
Disgraceful.

My best friend in high school was obsessed with Foetus.
Obsessed.

Came across these guys today. Nice sludge rock/metal from the Gold Coast. Worth a listen if that genre is your thing:

New Ishraqiyun (Secret Chiefs 3 satellite band) album - Perichoresis
Now, if only they'd get around to releasing a Holy Vehm or Electromagnetic Azoth album....
