Yea I reckon lateralus would be very possible. But as you said we can only dream...wouldn't it be surreal!! All albums in full over consecutive nights.
The sweetest payback for the dedication we have for these guys.

Maynard could easily pull off Lateralus. They've already played everything except for D/R/T off of it in the past few years.
And personally, I think he's shown that (emotional content aside...) he can really pull off whatever he wants if he's willing to shift a line or two by an octave.
I would just like the band to go heads-down and focus on the album, in whatever form that takes, until they can finally birth it in all it's bloody and gorgeous majesty unto the earth and us disciples. All else will just be the cherry on top.
Interesting lineup for the Riotfest. Doesn't seem to have any big name headliners, so I wouldn't rule out Tool just yet (though I have no intel on how likely that are to be added).

Thought the same thing when this was revealed today. Would be a kick ass festival if they could get more "proper" headliners like Tool, NIN, RATM, etc to go with what's on there. Those rumors out there fell flat on their face assuming Tool doesn't get that remaining spot. Bummer.
We need the TOOL AND THE RATM though at every festival or it's shit! They are the only good bands left in the world that care about putting out records and not playing greatest hits when they tour.

I don't think that's what anyone is trying to say, but keep on trollin' bro!
Morrissey is even more irrelevant than Tool these days, so perhaps he is the perfect festival headliner.
For what it's worth, I think the Riotfest lineup is great - I'd be there in a second if it were in Oz. The collection of second and third tier bands is pretty good (at least suitably aligned with my shitty tastes in music) but I have a hard time believe The Misfits (even with Danzig), Morrissey or Ween are "big" enough to headline a festival this big.
The Hold Steady spilled the beans and posted on their Facebook (which has now been edited) that they'd be playing Riot Fest along with, amongst others, Beck and Devo, who are both missing from the poster. That'd be really disappointing if the other headliner was Beck.
Bill Hilly wrote:One more trolling post and I'm done. Riot Fest is for stinky goth heads/ metal heads. Tool would be a fine headliner......as would Morrissey.
I think goth and metal heads would mostly be quite dissatisfied with that lineup, unless your one of those weirdos that goes around dressed as Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein
