The all-mighty EARTH
Re: The all-mighty EARTH
What a terrible review. EARTH is fucking brilliant. I get if someone doesn't like Drone in general, but that was a complete out of hand dismissal. What a dumb shit reviewer. And as Tyson said, They enjoyed Sunn O))) ...obviously completely different sound and approach at this point, but Sunn O))) worships EARTH. They exist because of EARTH. Sunn O))) is more drone metal now where EARTH is more traditional Drone, but still, shit makes me scratch my head. The Boss wrote:Not surprised. Maybe it was their positioning on a bill stacked with monumental sounds, but Seattle veterans Earth felt a little underwhelming. Each song sounded quite similar, meditating on particular blues-rock scales. It was like someone playing a 45rpm cut of AC/DC’s ‘Sin City’ on 33rpm, and continually looping the intro. Guitarist Dylan Carlson possessed the look and demeanour of a Harry Dean Stanton character.

LOL. EARTH are MUCH more together and listenable than SUNNO))).Not Tyson wrote:The funny part is they liked Sun000whatev

Re: The all-mighty EARTH
Having only slightly dipped my toes in the EARTH waters, I can verify that is quite true. And I love Sunn O)))))) (sp?).
Re: The all-mighty EARTH
Not a real head scratcher for me. I imagine that all of us love a particular band, but don't love a band that influences them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.M0G wrote: What a terrible review. Not Tyson - Internet Detective!!
As their is no random thoughts, I was in my local tuckshop today getting a hambuger and The Picture magazine, (oh please as if you don't know this publication) has little caprice on the cover.
I can't believe she's mainstream.
I could of saved her

I saw it for sale, tuck shop as in an independent fast food outlet in an industrial estate so aussie you have to tell them not to put beetroot on your hamburger.

Bow down and worship, people.
It's here.
Holy shit. Nothing better than hearing the studio version of the LOVE you experienced live.
Thank you, Mr Carlson. You've always had my heart.
