New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Not at all. They save it for Europe. Culling Voices that is.
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
I'm quite happy for them to play Culling Voices in EU only.
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
I found it strange that they omitted Descending from the last three shows too!Kittaan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2020 9:14 am Glad you had a great show Joey. Totally agree.
Interesting that the last three gigs were missing Descending from the set list.
Love that they played “Down Under” as the exit song on the PA
I’ve got a feeling they whip out 7empest at the first Aus gig. Anybody else?
Playing 'Down Under' was nice touch...

"FULL STAGE PRODUCTION CONFIRMED"
Just spotted this in a FB post from Frontier touring...
Junior - Sounds like you're bringing the full US stage production for the AU/NZ tour. I couldn't be more stoked. Nice effort champ! These shows are going to be EPIC!!!

I like the slow build up part, but that's where the comparison with The Patient ends I reckon. Culling Voices doesn't evoke even half of the emotion that The Patient does for me, mostly due to it's mostly bland and vanilla guitar riffing.

I was very happy to go to my little excel file and finally cross off Swamp Song. That was my 15th show (Nashville) since 2012. Which means I have seen Schism, Jambi, Stinkfist, 46&2 and Aenema fifteen times live now. Hopefully someday I can cross off Tempest, Eulogy, Jimmy, Prison Sex and H.

I'm guessing you're not on the north east coast. No way seeing that many shows without buying airline stock. They play quadruple the shows in TN than northeast. /sDTWAirport wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 4:36 am I was very happy to go to my little excel file and finally cross off Swamp Song. Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
I rather post this here than on the Random Socia Media thread, because I think the topic is more appropriate. PLSN released an article with technical details of the production of this tour, and some of the pictures in the article are AMAZING. Shame that we can't see more high quality photos of this tour because of the no-camera policy (I couldn't go to this round). In fact, last time I went to see Tool was in 2014 and no offense Junior but that production seemed like a re-iteration of the same theme from 2006 and onwards but the stuff from the FI tour is on another level, CONGRATS Junior, the blending between the video and the lighting is a work of art, another level. The photos in that article are jaw-dropping, if there was like an Oscar for music tour production you guys definitely deserve one. Article in question https://plsn.com/articles/production-pr ... ulum-tour/

Terrific article and insight into the live show setup. Thanks for sharing.cahernandez wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:38 am I rather post this here than on the Random Socia Media thread, because I think the topic is more appropriate. Interesting how ad hoc the lighting cues are rather than be all set in pre show!
Those photos were phenomenal, looking forward to experiencing all this in just over a week!!
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
With the AU touring kicking off shortly, should we start discussing who going and possible meet ups? Might require it’s own thread...?

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
So tour kicks off tonight over in Perth, lucky bastards.
Even though I predict they’ll play the same US setlist variations, I’m going to lay low on following until Melbourne. Anyone else doing the same?

Yep, I'll be avoiding this thread until Wednesday!
I'll be sure to pm you the set list though.

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
yep, my plan is to try and lay low until after Melbourne Night 1. easier said then done...spent a lot my time in Reddit for the past few months. Some absolute clowns on there, but its good for information
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Posted this in the wrong thread anyway... should have been dumped over in the Aus tour thread. Who let this noob in?
Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Nah I'm too curious as to what variations they are making bewteen shows, regardless of where they are playing. I'm expecting the standard Fear Inoculum tour setlist in Perth tonight but I'm still hoping 7empest gets played at some point; they have played it in soundcheck a few times now.
Very excited for next week's Sydney shows!

Re: New Album Touring (with SPOILERS!)
Hopefully they leave it and try it next tour. I really do see that song potentially being a bit of a mess live.
Have seen them struggle on 3rd eye two separate times and took me out of the performance both times.
