Kiss vs Rush - a Fourtheye debate

Both have annoying as fuck vocals. Kiss are probably a bit catchier in their riffs and lyrics, but can't play their instruments for shit. I think I'd rather see a 3 hour Rush set than a 3 hour Kiss one.

What I do know is that if Rush toured Oz (unlikely) I'd see them. If Kiss did I wouldn't bother.

I'd say that Neal Peart alone puts Rush above Kiss.

Rush by miles and miles and miles ... easily ... and I can't even listen to it once the singing starts! Much the same as Hellboy, I'd go see a Rush perform where even if in their prime, Kiss couldn't pay me to be there.

I saw kiss when I was a freshmen in high school. Skid Row opened then Ted Nugent and then KISS. They were my friend's favorite band for some reason. The show was amazing to my 14 year old self getting stoned in a big arena. Ted Nugent set a fire on the stage and shot a bow and arrow. KISS are an over the top live band, heavy on theatrics. I couldn't go into every detail without writing a book. But musically, they are pretty weak. Rush has been a really great band for most of their career. They are about 100x better than KISS. They were considered the Canadian Led Zeppelin! That's some respect right there.

Just to be clear, the original intent of this thread (and if we're being honest here, most threads on Fourtheye) was to fuck with Calcium Jay (I typed Calfium, but got autocorrected and I like it better so I'm leaving it!).

I think it's obvious to just about anybody that Rush slays Kiss in every single criteria imaginable besides sucking donkey balls.
