Noticed a few posts in other threads, but there's seemingly no dedicated StS thread, soooo...

New album coming out Sept 18, called "V".

Tracklist:
1. The Winged Bull
2. Soria Moria
3. Pontus Euxinus
4. Trapped In Ice
5. Stolas
6. The Isle of Mull
7. Kestrel
8. Oort Cloud
9. Blue Sun
10. The Golden Bird

Two songs released so far, "Kestrel" & "Stolas":

Chris Letchford also has another solo album coming out called "History of Robots" going under the moniker "islnds" rather than his own name. It was supposed to be released this month, but the bands label threatened a lawsuit for it being too close to StS's album. So it was pushed back 6 months minimum.

I LOULZed. That was a great clip, love these guys. Was so lucky to see them on a double bill with Intronaut, hope they do it again.

Cool. Unfortunately they haven't been out this way yet, hopefully this tour, I'd love to see them.

I am really digging the new material. They keep getting better from album to album. The new drummer is solid.

Also, probably my favourite track from them, "Odyssey":

I'm jealous, they haven't been outside the States yet I don't think. Not sure when or if I'll get to see them.

New guy is solid indeed, lot of great stuff on "V", but I still prefer Skeffington.

And as luck would have it they ARE doing it again in SF in April. Yay.

@ Moridin - Hope you get to see them. Where are you?

These guys will have a new album out later this year. They're a 3-piece now, with only Chris Letchford being the sole original member left. There was, allegedly, some controversy regarding Letchford paying the other members properly. So the other 3 at the time (original guitarist Travis LeVrier, 2nd bassist Mark Michell & 2nd drummer JC Bryant) all left. That's 5 former members altogether. This was before the last album "In a World of Fear" (which I thought sounded kind of flat and unfinished), very disappointing to hear, though I'm still pretty interested to hear where they go now.

The lineup now:
Letchford - guitars
Kilian Duarte - Bass
Charlie Engen - Drums

@ Moridin - Beautiful country. Went there on holiday a few years ago. Would love to see more of it.

For some reason, I thought you were from Arimathea....

Bummer dude is a tight wad, but glad he found worthy replacements.
