Watchmen (2008) by Zack Snyder, that's the only superhero movie I still asppreciate.

All comic book movies are just about the spectacle for me, I don't pretend otherwise.

Dredd (2012) has to be my favourite comic book movie by far.

As soon as anyone says that name I just want to rewatch one of my favourite films of all time that has nothing to do with comics.
Eastern Promises.

i went to high school with Malin Akerman. she was a couple years younger then me but i remember her. she was friendly. not that its some big deal or whatever but i thought it was cool when i heard she was in movies and stuff. before that she was a model and ended up in the Sears cataolgues in the late 90s as an underwear model. i should of kept some of those and got her to sign it haha jk.

I haven't seen the top 3
Wow, you're so cool! Thanks for telling us!
Thanks!
I haven't seen Jurassic World either.
If we extended the list to the top 20 I also haven't seen the following
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
- Frozen
- Beauty & the Beast (2017)
- Minions

Not sure what that list says about us. Not trying to dive too deep down the rabbit hole here but those movies are not exactly high art. And yes I have seen all of them except for Endgame and none of them are great movies. Maybe you could give Jurassic Park a small nod and Avatar might get a nod mainly for it’s technical achievements.

The list looks a bit better when it's adjusted for inflation.

No one really expects blockbusters to be high art though. Nor was the coliseum in ancient Roman times.

This 'conversation' reminds me of when I spoke positively of the new Joker film, some users here basically shitted on my opinion but were coming from the blockbuster angle when I already knew it was more art house and not something they would care for anyway.

Look, we all like shitting on opinions when they're not our own. Also, the Joker looks shit, and it ain't art house by any stretch.

Slow your roll there Mr. Coppola I never had any issue with the new Joker as being art house. I simply questioned whether Phoenix could match Ledger's performance as the Joker. This new Joker might end up being a better film and I won't argue that from the previews it certainly looks like a more cerebral work.
