Yeah I heard about that.  2014, possibly on next-gen consoles.  Man, 2 was great and I am really looking forward to this.  The next Arkham game and this are probably my most anticipated games of the next decade.  Batman Arkham City and The Witcher 2 both felt like they're moving pieces around for the next entry in the series, The Witcher more so than Arkham City.  Not that they weren't great games, but they both left me with the feeling that the next entry was going to be epic, like I'm more excited for these games then I have been for any other game in a long time.  Like I think they're going to be some of the best games of all time.  I can't wait.

 

I was going to say that I dislike it when games are announced at least 2 years before they're expected to release, then I realized that it was 2013 and The Witcher 3 would probably be out in less than 2 years.  So I'm cool.

Still playing Borderlands 2.  I am slightly addicted to this game.

 

Finally some decent Skyrim news for the PS3.  Patch 1.8 and DLC's are coming in the next weeks.  Patch 1.8 is "supposed" to actually resolve some significant issues.  To Bethesda's credit, they are offering the DLC's at 50% off for PS3 users during the first week of release.  If it really does improve the game on the PS3 and handles the DLC's well enough, I will give credit where credit is due.  Let's see if Bethesda finally gets it right.

In news that really shouldn't surprise anyone, it has been announced that Grand Theft Auto V will NOT be on next-gen consoles.

It plays fine on PC. I had a crack last night for a couple of hours, and it was great.

EDIT: Talking about "DRAGONBORN", obviously.

Ok, so I'm a TAD late to the party on this game, but the "game of the year" edition of Red Dead Redemption is the "final" version of it correct? I only made up my mind to buy it (I rarely, and I mean RARELY get games) a few months ago but I figured I'd wait til its last version. So, yea no?

That is correct.   Game of the Year editions are almost always final versions. 
Red Dead Redemption is fantastic by the way.  Have fun!

There is nothing I am looking forward to more than this game.

According to an exec at Warner Bros we should be seeing a new Batman Arkham game this year.

Brutal Legend is coming to PC.  You can pre-order the game now for $14.99, 25% the original release price of $20.  Pre-ordering grants you immediate access to the multiplayer as well as two Team Fortress 2 items.

 

If you haven't already played this game, I would highly recommend checking it out.

 

Is this an image from the new Mad Max game?  Maybe.  It was tweeted by the CEO of Avalanche Studios, who are rumored to be working on the Mad Max title based off the upcoming film.  Avalanche Studios are known for developing the Just Cause series so it might possibly be a screenshot from a new entry in that series.

Excellent news.  Just Cause 2 was a great game and a post-apocalyptic version sounds awesome.

Bungie has unveiled it's new "online persistent world shooter" Destiny for Xbox 360 and PS3.
