Haha oops, just realised I fucked up and wrote Danny instead of Adam. Haha yeh good stuff up that one. So to my original intended question. Has Adam promised much in the way of the album? To my recollection he hasn't offered much which makes me positive.
I said years ago i refuse to get excited until i see an official release date and even then its gonna be bloody tough for it to live up to the hype but promising signs at least

I am much more optimistic now that Adam is confirming the music is done. He's never said that before, as far as I know. He's always been very reluctant to say anything other than "it's done when it's done" at the VIP Q&A. So, when he says it's done - it's done? #Burp #SmokeontheHorizon #Proudwife

What was the one that Maynard called Adam out on? I think it was Twitter, and MJK replied “prove it” and then shortly after deleted it. I wanna say something along the lines of having a bunch of songs done, and this was probably a couple years ago.

At the end of the day, it's all just talk until they actually hit the studio. What is currently being said fills me with hope that we're close, but not prepared to get too carried away yet...

There's no way I can prove this, as I've built a name and career for myself that I'm absolutely not willing to risk. You'll have to take my word for it.
The new Tool album will be out in May of this year. The vocals are finished, and the band is very far ahead of schedule. It's obvious that doing new APC music has motivated Maynard, as the whole vocal process took less than two weeks.
There will be 13 songs, a few of which are under ten minutes, but the majority are LONG...If you thought the packaging for 10,000 Days was over the top, you are in for a treat. That's all I'll say.
The song that we know as Ascending is on there, but it's paired with two other songs and is definitely the least interesting of the trio (although it's still great–think Parabol/a). It's followed by a song called Descending, and a third called Innocence.
The first single will be the title track–it will be out at the end of April.

Ah, Descending is followed by Ascending. Clever. That would also require one to buy that song titles are in place before vocals written which seems unlikely imo.
