Cool.

Question for you Mog, I usually listen to these on my rhapsody account, and they have this but its titled "Geisterstadt/Kalt". Is it the same thing?

Not entirely. They did a re-release that contains their EP called Kalt. The EP contains a demo version of one song off Geisterstadt and three other tracks. Not sure how Rhapsody is doing the track listing but I would just listen to the Youtube vid above so you know you are getting the right version of all the tracks in the correct order.

The Kalt tracks are labeled as such. I'm good to go, review to come.

The tone at the start peaked my interest but from then on it was pretty pedestrian.

Way better bands in this genre to listen too.

I find Instrumental Doom to be quite boring, and nothing I've listened to off this album has changed my mind on that so I'm going to pass on reviewing this.

You know what? I liked it. Unlike other bands in this genre I've heard before, this one never felt like it was dragging or boring. I especially liked when they went away from the "sludgy" sound. It wasn't overly "Doom"y sounding, which is a good thing.

Good stuff, definitely would hear it again.

Maybe not the most groundbreaking doom ever, but it wasn't overly typical either. The doom sludge provided a sloppy but thick foundation for that spacey post rock guitar which actually had balls for once. I think I'll have to check out more from them. 7.5

I went in fully expecting to cringe once the cookie monster vocals kicked in... was pleasantly surprised to find this is an instrumental. I agree with RP and Limey. This was a good listen. Perfect for background listening, but that's not a dig.

Good pick.

pretty good ... duplicate Kittaan's sentiments regarding no vox, cuz this could have easily been ruined ... as with most post-rock/doom instrumental, I find little fault, but also very little to write home about as a lot of it tends to sound the same-y and repetitive until multiple repeated listens... solid pick though and I'll likely pick it up and give it another go.
