I'll be interviewing Billy Howerdel on Friday for AlternativeNation.net. Any questions you'd like me to ask?

Hi Brett,

Could ask Billy why he had to sell his home in LA and how does he feel that A Perfect Circle will be the peak of his career?

But more importantly does he have any crazy tour stories from when he was Adam's guitar tech?

Thanks,

Not Tyson

Would he still be interested in primarily using a female singer for an extended project, much like what he was looking for before he realised that MJK was the right fit for A PERFECT CIRCLE?

If so, how likely are we to see such a project?

Was the band approached by the label to contribute to Three Sixty or did they ask to contribute? To what extent were they able to exercise control or give input into the anthology?

Why did it take so long to release By and Down? I spoke with him after a show in 2011 and he mentioned they originally planned to release it that December as a digital release. Any other material in the works?

Why no bluray?

I'm also curious to know the response to gerbil's questions.

If things were completely flipped for him and I, & he was likewise very grateful for the music I had made, & he came to me and happened to ask for my signature - would he ask me to sign his head?

Alternatively: If one day I had the opportunity to meet him, & I happened to ask for his signature, could he sign his own head?

I just had a quick look for some figures and opinions, and I couldn't really find anything substantial - but is blu-ray an outright success? I mean, isn't it still a safer bet to release your product on DVD?

Because that might be why.

I think a lot of people skipped over Blu-ray entirely and just went the digital route.

Problem with blu rays is they don't work on a lot of laptops.

Ah, both good points.

The question about Blu-ray is more one about High Definition. If the concert wasn't recorded in HD, then the question really is why not? The answer is most likely it's too expensive.

If the concert was recorded in SD, then the question of Blu-ray vs DVD is largely irrelevant - DVD will continue to be used in this case as it's cheaper to manufacture and is usable by more customers.

Cassette tapes are apparently making a comeback so now's the time to invest in VHS.

Yes. And such a cheap investment it is!
Come quick, all buyers. Get all your tapes here, first! Quarter a pop. All the time you'll share with la familia, rewinding, rewinding and, possibly pausing?..

Do you know about the bootleging and the quality recordings people manage to pull off? For example, people have recorded through YOUR in ear mic several times.

Hey Billy, are you bitter that Maynard has wasted years on this shit Puscifer project that he could have spent writing a new APC album with you?

Also, do you think Josh might have stayed around if Maynard would have focused on getting a new APC album done?

Asked a lot of your questions! Really tried to pry deep specifically about new material, specifically asking if there were any other complete songs with Maynard's words actually put to them. Got a Tool album update as well. I'll have the interview up in the next few days (likely Monday).

Cool. Thanks for posting about this, will look for the link.

PS - Is Billy really bald, or is it just a bald wig?

Billy is really bald, Maynard isn't. I thought we went over this before.
