I was excited to hear that as well. I missed them when they were out with Deftones.

So they're touring with the original drummer, Mike Dillard. That's awesome but... I hope this doesn't mean Dale is only playing bass. Mike is cool but... Dale is one of the greatest drummers alive. Regardless... any Melvins trumps most other bands.

Huh? I don't remember seeing anything about them touring with Mike D. I thought it was Buzz, Dale and Steve since he's on the new double album.

The AV-Club reported they'd be touring with the "original lineup" of Buzz, Dale, and Mike, but where they got that I'm not sure since it's not mentioned in either the Facebook post or Pitchfork article they linked to...

Guessing somebody got their wires crossed.

I'd be surprised if the tour lineup was different to the album one, given that the tour is in support of it and all.

Yeah it sounded odd, and they're still promoting everything with the current bass player, photo wise. Just personal preference... really ready for the next bass player to join the line up. The current touring line up is my least favorite of the ones I've seen live (as always though... still destroys most other bands out there).

Hrmm. Just personal taste of course, but I'm patiently awaiting the end of the era with this current bassist. :/

I hadn't really thought about it like thsy but I agree. I've not found this configuration all that inspiring.

I'm not feelin it either. There are some great tracks with Steve but the majority just fall flat and sound kinda the same. Bring back Coady and Jared!
