Pink Floyd
The legends are back. Nuff said.
Re: Pink Floyd
Should be good. Stuff recorded from 'The Division Bell'-that album is highly underrated. Loved it.
Mostly instrumental? I'll take that too but Gilmour's voice is so unqiue and awesome.

Re: Pink Floyd
# 9 - 20 years is a long time between between albums, but not the longest
Pink Floyd's two decades between 'The Division Bell' and 'The Endless River,' though certainly the lengthiest expanse in their history, has been dwarfed by other classic rockers. There were, for instance, 24 years between the Who's 'It's Hard' and 'Endless Wire.' The Eagles waited 28 years between 'The Long Run' and 'Long Road Out of Eden.' Then there's Tool, who when all is said and done, will have waited an impressive 32 years between '10,000 Days' and 'Some Shit We Found Lying Around The Loft and Decided to Release to Put Our Kid's Through Grad School'

Re: Pink Floyd
Really looking forward to this. Wish they would just do a damn reunion tour, less the dead, time for that possibility is evaporating fast. Anyone who likes Floyd but has never heard Obscured by Clouds album I recommend it. Also the Final Cut is underrated in my opinion very dark album.

Re: Pink Floyd
Clouds is one of my favorites.
I like it as much as Dark Side.
Not comparing the two, more, I find Clouds
like a test-run for Dark Side, which turned out
about as good as the real run.
And Final Cut is just wonderfully painful
in its portrayal of post war life and modern society.
Now I gotta hear something....and this is what came to mind when just now typing this...

Re: Pink Floyd
I was really excited for this album, until I found out that it was almost all instrumental. Oh well. Even their best work, with expansive instrumental portions, such as Echoes or Shine On You Crazy Diamond, are good because they find a way to combine expansive instrumental jams with vocal melody

Re: Pink Floyd
That's the worst cover I've seen in years!!!!
Reminds me of an Air Supply cover if Air Supply suddenly reformed and started writing music for fabric softener commercials..

That would be amazing. Because Air Supply is amazing.

The lentil curry I had for dinner last night was better than the artwork for the new U2 album.

Re: Pink Floyd
It's ironic because it's a vinyl or cd or something and the album was releases on iTunes for free.hellboy wrote:It's better than the art for the new U2 album at least...
