Poll Results

The results from the Best of 10,000 Days poll are in, and it looks as though 10,000 Days is the favorite off the album, narrowly beating my choice Rosetta Stoned.

  1. 10,000 Days: 25% (125)
  2. Rosetta Stoned: 23% (117)
  3. Jambi: 19% (93)
  4. The Pot: 10% (49)
  5. Vicarious: 9% (45)
  6. Right In Two: 9% (44)
  7. Intension: 3% (13)
  8. The part where it ends and I never have to listen to it again….: 3% (13)

Feel free to discuss.

Every week I hope to put a new poll up on the site, so if you have any issues that you feel must have a vote on, then feel free to email me any suggestions. They need not be Tool related.

In the meantime check out this weeks on the right…

North America Tour 2007

Danny recently spoke to The Rock Radio where he talks about the next North American tour in March-April 2007:

“The show in the springtime will definitely be different than the shows that went around this fall in America. Projection ideas will be added and changed, and props and whatnot will all evolve too, I’m sure. You know, it’s just the way our band always works. We work on that kind of thing all the time.”

I’d imagine dates and venues for this tour will be announced sometime in the next couple of months.

Isis Oceania Tour

According to Yaz on Toolarmy, Isis will be touring Japan in January 2007.  They will apparently be touring with These Arms Are Snakes and Boris while in Japan.  It is also rumoured that Isis will be touring Australia in February, though at this stage they have denied any reports that they will be playing with Tool.

Happy Halloween, Daily Grail

There’s several new posts on Toolband/Army detailing a recent Halloween Hollywood tour conducted by Camella, Blair and co. It’s an interesting read, but if you’re looking for Tool news, go elsewhere. There’s also a couple of pictures up as well.

It was also revealed that some more Signed Lateralus Vinyl was released to celebrate Halloween. Not many were available apparently, and it seems as though they’re all gone. Well done if you managed to score one.

Finally, the latest issue of Sub Rosa magazine is out, and features an article talking about Blair‘s Crowley collection, and also talks about Danny‘s as well.

Cancelled Show, Isis

According to Blabbermouth Tool have cancelled their upcoming show in Barcelona due to “logistical” reasons.  What do they mean by “logistical”?  My guess is either the bands equipment won’t arrive in time, or someone forgot to book the bands First Class airline tickets.

Isis will be holding a launch party at the Cha-Cha Lounge in LA on the 30th of October.  According to Blair there will be give aways on the night, and entry is free.  Sounds like a good event to me, and there will even be cheap booze apparently.

Back in Black

I arrived back home in sunny Yeppoon a few hours ago and though I’d drop you all a quick line letting you know that I’m back, and that Fourth Eye will resume it’s normal programming tomorrow.  That’s not to say Charred Remains did a bad job, in fact it looks like he’s done a pretty damn good one….

The honeymoon was awesome!  Jo and I saw plenty of amazing animals in San Diego, were blinded by the lights in Vegas, scaled Hoover Dam, checked out Elton John, drove on the wrong side of the road, saw the Hollywood sign, purchased cheap booze, perfume and guitar pedals, and much much more.  I might share a few photos and some other details later.

In other news, it looks like Butcher are looking for a new bass player.  According to Camella’s Myspace site:

We are seeking a new bass player to write, record and play live with. If you love heavy music, and are looking for a project to pour your guts into, check out Butcher (http://myspace.com/butcherband) e-mail a demo of your music to: butcher@butcherband.com

Scott will always be heart and soul Butcher, and will continue to work with us in a limited capacity. Scott could not continue balancing a 90 mile drive to and from practice.

I guess the implication there is that you must be available for rehersal frequently, and presumeably either live in LA or don’t mind travelling.

Tickets to the Sydney show are still available, though they’re all pretty much on the side of the stage (I checked less that 1/2 an hour ago).  Having sat in one of these before, I gotta say they aren’t as bad as they seem, and sure beats not being there.  Get in quick!

Big Day Out and Sydney Ticket Updates

Big Day Out put out another press release today, saying that all tickets for the Sydney ballot are now $125+bf.  He also mentions that 2,000 sales were rejected or were multiple transaction, so there will now be 12,000 Sydney tickets in the ballot, the first 2,000 going for $115+bf.  And even more interestingly he tell us that…

Tool have finalised their production specs and around 1000 new seats for Sydney will be made available soon. There will be a strict limit of 2 tickets per card/person.

All great news! If you missed out on Sydney tickets before I hope you feel lucky…
