Puscifer Tour 2011

This page is here to store all relevant information regarding the Puscifer US (and briefly Canada) tour in November and December of 2011. At the time of writing, the following dates/venues have been confirmed.

Maynard will be joined on tour by Mat Mitchell, Josh Eustis, Carina Round, Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedl. Carina Round will open all shows.

It is expected that further dates will be added.

Tour dates

  • Nov 7 – Seattle, WA – Paramount Theatre
  • Nov 9 – Salt Lake City, UT – Capitol Theatre
  • Nov 10 – Denver, CO – Paramount Theatre
  • Nov 12 – St Louis, MO – Peabody Opera House

  • Nov 22 – Boston, MA – Orpheum Theatre
  • Nov 23 – Philadelphia, PA – Tower Theatre
  • Nov 25 – Brooklyn, NY – Brooklyn Academy of Music
  • Nov 26 – Washington DC – Lisner Auditorium
  • Nov 27 – Charlotte, NC – Ovens Auditorium
  • Nov 29 – Knoxville, TN – Tennessee Theatre
  • Nov 30 – Atlanta, GA – Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre
  • Dec 2 – Tulsa, OK – Brady Theatre
  • Dec 3 – Dallas, TX – Majestic Theatre
  • Dec 6 – Los Angeles, CA – Orpheum Theatre
  • Dec 7 – San Francisco, CA – Palace of Fine Arts
  • Dec 9 – Phoenix, AZ – Ikeda Theatre
  • Dec 10 – Las Vegas, NV – The Pearl

Further dates are to be added, however judging on the dates already announced, I wouldn’t expect too many more East Coast shows to be announced. Most likely shows to be added I’d saw would be in Texas and the West Coast.

Ticket Sales

From the official email:

Tickets for all shows go on-sale Friday, Oct. 7 at 12 noon local time via venue box offices, as well as Ticketmaster and Live Nation websites. A limited number of VIP packages, featuring wine tastings and a more mysterious Puscifer encounter, will be available simultaneously via http://puscifer.frontgatetickets.com.

VIP tickets are available for each show, and the details are as follows:

As part of the conditions of their parole handed down by the judge, Puscifer has been assigned a whole range of local community service projects.
Luckily for Puscifer aficionados, that includes a special, intimate “experience” in each city.
Without giving too much away and spoiling the surprise that Maynard and company have in mind for a select few fans, suffice it to say you will get to encounter Puscifer in an intimate and up close experience, in a never before seen setting.

This package is available to fans of any age!

All Community Service Package holders will receive:
• 1 single premium location ticket, with advance entry to the venue, prior to doors opening to the general public.
• Exclusive Access to the PUSCIFER Community Service event
• Limited Edition PUSCIFER Signed Tour Lithograph.
• Limited Edition PUSCIFER Exclusive tour merchandise, available only to Community Service package holders
• Exclusive PUSCIFER community service pass
• Exclusive, Pre-show access to the Band’s merchandise stand before the general public.

Ovens is right next to bojangles which TOOL played at in 09′. it was funny because there was a gospel revival playing at ovens that night they same time TOOL was on. scalpers were coming up to our little TA gathering and asking if we had extra tickets. i said for the gospel revival? he said no man for TOOL. he was an older black gentelmen so i assumed he might be in the wrong parking lot. fuckin’ scalpers. 😉

I’ll follow Hellboy’s lead on creating individual Puscifer 2011 tour topics.
“Please keep discussions in these threads limited to the Puscifer show in the title. Off-topic discussions will be removed/moderated…”
And if you don’t want to know the setlist, I suggest you stay out of these threads…

OK, that was tedious, but it’s done.

You’re welcome! 8`p

With all the positive feedback I’ve read regarding COMP I’m surprise I’m not seeing much discussion regarding the current tour. Not very much activity going on in the Tour section of the forum.

i agree, but i wonder how many of those fans frequent this site. remember also these shows are at theaters which means the crowd size is only a couple of thousand compared to maybe 10 to 15 thousand at an arena show.

i do see that the show i am going to (Detroit) has sold way more tickets for this tour than it did for their stop in Detroit.

You can barely find a setlist for some of these shows. Everyone seems to be having a great time at them though.

Ok, I like Carina and all…but based on the live videos I’ve watched of the tour already, it seems to me that her vocals are mixed WAY too high this time around. She’s drowning out Maynard’s voice, and the balance of the songs are off because her vocals sound like the lead vocals, when they are supposed to be in the background. Aside from that, I also just feel like her voice doesn’t sound the best when it’s front center—she’s good as Maynard’s supporting vocalist, but not as an additional lead (except on Tumbleweed, where the structure of the song… Read more »

i am re-watching some of the youtube videos, and i think she sounds good. also i don’t think of her as a back-up singer or background. i think she is meant to be an equal level singer when her parts come in.

i will say that most of the videos i see on youtube the recording was from her side, and perhaps she plays out of side and maynard the other?

i really don’t know, but i think it sounds great and i can’t wait till saturday.

So, to anyone who has gone to any of the completed shows, would I be OK going by myself? Nobody I know even knows who Puscifer is, so I couldn’t get anyone to come with, but then I don’t want to look like some loner tard while everyone is doing the bump and grind to Puscifer.

You’re going to see a show with a whole bunch of other like minded people. You’ll be just fine, and you’ll love it.

if it makes you feel any better i will be at the detroit show by myself for the first time. my wife and kids will be back at the hotel. we just had a baby about 6 weeks ago and the wife isn’t ready to leave him overnight. i doubt anyone is going to be like omg that guy is alone what a loser. and i don’t think it makes a difference if you have a friend beside you while doing the bump and grind. its about the experience of the music not who is around you watching. enjoy yourself… Read more »

all I gotta say is MY GOD…it was so friggen awesome. I cried laughing when he came out on stage…silly Mofo. I can’t say enough good things about this show. Just can’t. I think the detroit crowd redeemed itself from the “Douchebag Detroit Fan” reputation. Lotta cool happy peeps there. (few cockknockers but whateves) Very, cool and very much in the vein of my favorite Indie bands. Nice job…and for those of you that have tickets…Oh man, get ready to pee your pants and stuff. Seriously….I loved every minute of it as did my 17 year old daughter. Well…she is cool… Read more »

the only time i found it more entertaining to sit was when they did the cuntry theme. that was more of a show, but once they kicked into the actual concert i was on my feet getting heckled to sit.

Kind of surprised to see no response to any of these Puscifer shows:
Nov 12 – St Louis, MO – Peabody Opera House
Nov 14 – Minneapolis, MN – State Theatre
Nov 18 – Toronto, ON – Sony Centre for the Performing Arts
Nov 22 – Boston, MA – Orpheum Theatre
Nov 26 – Washington DC – Lisner Auditorium
Nov 27 – Charlotte, NC – Ovens Auditorium

Not even one FourthEye reader/lurker hit one of these?

I was at the Boston show! Was too lazy to start a thread about it. Twas an amazing show, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Birds eye view from the 3rd row mezzanine – great for scoping out Carina’s rack! I loved every bit of it. Mellow crowd, not really a show you get up and mosh to… The smaller theater type venue was perfect and our sweet hotel was about a block away. Probably one of the best shows I’ve seen all year and that includes APC in Boston… Think I saw a few TAers in the crowd, but we… Read more »
