Lateralus Platinum Shipped! Ticket Swaps

Just received and email from Merch at Toolarmy, and it looks like the Platinum Lateralus has shipped.  Who knows, it may even arrive in time for Xmas.

M.J.K. tells me he has a Gold Coast Big Day Out ticket, and he’s willing to swap it for a ticket to a show in Japan.  He’s not interested in selling it for money at this point though.  Let me know if you’re interested.

Tool in Japan?

According to the The Tool Hotline, four Japanese dates have been announced for February 2007.

TOOL Japan Tour 2007

2/8 Zepp Osaka
2/9 Zepp Tokyo
2/12 Yokohama Blitz
2/14 Nagoya Diamond Hall

All venues are clubs with less than 2000 caps. The Diamond Hall in Nagoya holds 1000.

Not sure about ticket information as yet… Infact I can’t find any info anywhere else. But I’ll take their word for it.

US Tour announcement imminent? Roskilde sells out.

Bob2884 (and several others) from Toolarmy have said that they overheard on the radio, that Tool will be making a huge announcement regarding the US tour later this year on Monday.  There also seems to be a new concert in Fresno, California on August 6 as well.    Looks like Tool might be squeezing in a few US (California only?) dates before heading off to Japan.

In other tour news, I recieved an email this morning saying that the Roskilde Festival (featuring Tool) has sold out.  If you missed out, too bad!

Tour Dates Confirmed and Changed

Blair on Toolband/Army has confirmed that Tool will be playing in Japan on the 12th of August in Osaka and the 13th of August in Tokyo. I think the Osaka date is part of the Summersonic Festival, but I’m not sure if the Tokyo show is also part of this, or a standalone Tool show. Hopefully Australian dates are coming soon…..

Blair also confirmed that the German show in Berlin has been moved from the Columbiahalle to the Arena Treptow. Check Tool’s tour page for official details.

Finally, Toolbelt on Toolnavy tells us that Tool are booked to play three nights in LA on the 7th, 8th and 9th of September. No official confirmation on this yet, but it’s safe to say Tool will most likely be doing an extensive US tour around that time anyway.
