More Tool Dates

Robert tells me that some more European Tool dates are creeping out:

  • Metal Hammer Festival Poland – 12th August
  • Gampel Open Air Festival Switzerland – 16th August
  • Brixton Academy London (Second show) – 22nd August
  • Jahrhunderhalle Germany – 26th August

Various Euro Tool Dates

Plenty of European Tool dates have been surfacing recently, including these:

  • England – Brixton Academy August 21 2007
  • Germany – Area 4 Festival August
  • Austria – Frequency Festival
  • France – Rock Ein Seine August 25th 2007
  • Italy – Independant Days Festival September 2nd 2007

Thanks to Rob, Toolband Italy, The Tool Hotline and probably others for the tips

Pre Sales, Italia, COSM

According to Toolband/Army Pre-Sales for several newly announced Tool shows are happening on Friday the 20th of April. Tickets then go on sale publically the next day.

In other touring news, Tool are also playing with Nine Inch Nails at the Independant Days Festival in Italy this September. Thanks to Jurden and Mattia for the tip there.

Finally, it looks like Alex Grey is visiting Italy later this year. Alex and Allyson will be visiting the Damanhur. If you’re a fan and would like to see him then look for details on the COSM site. Thanks again to Mattia.

Tool confrimed on German festival?

According to newdawn73 from Toolarmy Tool have been confirmed as playing on the German M’era Luna Festival in August later this year.  Presumably this is the first of many dates for the next European tour.

Just as a slight editorial, the next lot of touring (which should include Australia and New Zealand) will quite possibly be the last tour for Tool for a while.  The next chance to see Tool again probably won’t be for another 4-5 years, if at all, so if you want to see the guys, make sure you get into a show the next time they hit your town….

Tool US & European Tours

There’s been no confirmed dates yet, but there are a couple of rumours in regards to Tools 2007 tour schedule. Tool are expected to do another US tour early this year, and word is that they will be playing in San Antonio on the 10th of April. Expect date for the US tour in March-April-May to be released soon.

In Europe, Tool are rumored to be playing the Download Festival. According the Metal Hammer, they may be joining Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Machine Head, Heaven and Hell and My Chemical Romance. Again, nothing is confirmed, but it looks like Tool may be doing the European Festival circuit again in 2007.

Update: Tickets for the San Antonio show may be purchased here

Tool + Motörhead

Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell joined Tool on stage in Leipzig, Germany on Monday night. According to Blabbermouth, he playing Sober with the guys, and also allegedly also played with them in Cardiff, though this is the first I’ve heard of it. Here’s hoping Billy Thorpe doesn’t join Tool on stage Down Under…

Edit: According to the tour journal at Distortion Online, Phil played during Swamp Song in Cardiff, and on Sober in Leipzig.

Blair tells us today, that if we expect to get Tool merchandise before Xmas, we had better get out orders in before the 13th of December if you’re in the US, or by the 7th of December if you’re else where. This excludes TA membership packages which I understand are shipped by Yak from an 18th century manufacturing plant in the Himalayas. Also, Blair didn’t define if he was talking about Xmas ’06 or ’07. I guess we’ll all know in about a months time.

Also, Toolarmy members can see a picture taken by Camella from the recent Tool European tour. Hopefully we’ll see some more, since that photo was nice, but no better than many I’ve seen here. We want pictures take from places where normal people can’t go, not ones from the cheap seats.
