Adam talks about the WWE performance

Adam posted on Facebook a little while ago a summary of his experiences at the WWE gig:

‎~Wow! What a blast.
Triple H and his wife Stephanie are big tool fans and asked me to open the show on live international television. Pretty FN crazy.
Vince McMahon ask for a demo so i emailed him one. How cool is that?
All the Wrestlers i met that night were so encouraging and supportive (thanx!).
John Cena joked "just dont pull a Christina Aguilera…"
And with that said, i apologize about the flub up in the first verse.
Some of the camera guys ran by me so close that i thought something was wrong.
Totally broke my concentration.
But to me the rest was a Home Run! The crowd was great. And i will now demand that at the end of any future solo i do
there are epic FIREWORKS.
~big xx to Terry

There’s also finally some decent coverage of the performance up on Metal Injection.

Sounds like he enjoyed it, and no doubt it would have been a fun event to play at.  While there appear to be plenty of readers who dislike the idea of Adam “lowering” himself to play such an event (no doubt these same haters would have no objection if he played at their event of choice) I personally don’t mind it.  If we put people up on pedestals then the only way they can fall is down…

A Perfect Circle prepare us for Monday

The Perfect Circle Facebook page today gives us a short and sharp message:

Tune into www.aperfectcircle.com on Monday morning

We can only speculate on what this means, but chances are it will be some more North American tour dates for later this year.  I guess there’s also a chance it could be the announcement of a new release of some sort, though personally I think that’s unlikely for now…

Update: Looks like the A Perfect Circle website has been updated in preparation for tomorrows announcement!

Update 2: According to the Facebook page the announcement will be at 9:30am Pacific Time.  That’ll be about 2:30am in Australia, so I won’t be awake to cover it live!

Slow News Days

Not much seems to be happening at the moment.  No more news is forthcoming on Tool sideshow dates, though I’ve had it suggested to me that if you decode the last newsletter it suggests there may be three.

Socially though, things seem to be ramping up.  With the new Groups functionality a new Toolarmy group has started on Facebook.  I think it’s by invite only, so hit me up on Facebook or something if you want to join.

There’s also an IRC community formed by old Toolarmy members who regularly chat about Tool and a range of other interesting topics.  Those curious in checking it out should point their IRC clients to irc.wyldryde.org #toolarmy.  Those who are challenged in the ways of IRC can check it out here.

A Perfect Social Network

A Perfect Circle have claimed a whole load of social networking pages recently, so it would appear that at least something is happening there.  No word on what it will be at this stage, but my guess would be a couple of live shows.

For those interested, you can keep a track of them via the following avenues:

Don’t forget that Fourtheye is also on Twitter and Facebook
