Jello Biafra

Adam rocks out at Jello

Indacelio went to last nights Jello Biafra + lots of other bands show last night, and sent in a pic of Adam rocking out with The Jelvins:

Also, he mentioned that he chat with Adam about the Vicarious video, and Adam said that it was no intentionally designed to work with 3D glasses, though he would like to make a 3D video in the future.

Melvins/Big Business Tour

The Melvins are on the road again later this year following the release of their new album Nude With Boots. As well as the two shows will Jello Biafra mentioned recently, the guys start an extensive tour of the US with Big Business, beginning on the 16th of July.

It’s a long list, and apparently not complete, so rather than typing it all out here, I’ll just give you a link to the Calendar page in Ipecac. According to the post I read, The Melvins will also be hitting Europe later this year. Hopefully Australia is also on the agenda this time.

Jello Biafra & The Melvins & Adam

Blair has confirmed on Toolband/Army, that it’s likely that Adam will be joining Jello Biafra and The Melvins (The Jelvins) on stage when they perform at Jello’s 50th bash on the 16th and 17th of June.  The lineup also includes The Melvins, Los Olvidados, Drunk Injuns, Akimbo, Triclops!, and Jello’s new, yet unnamed band.  This show is held at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, so if so get along to it if you’re able, it should be bloody good!

Poll Results: How do you rate the Vicarious video?

It’s been almost a month since I started this poll, so I guess a change is in order! Anyway, it appears there are quite mixed feelings about the Vicarious video. Lots of you think it’s the best, or better than most, but there’s also a quite large amount that consider it to be worst than most.

Personally, i like the video, though it doesn’t rank above Parabola or Aenima, both of which I consider to be my favorites. If I had to pick a favorite video, I’d have to say Parabola. I love the Parabol section more than the rest, but the CGI at the end is really cool. Jello Biafra‘s commentry also crack me up every time….

  1. Better than most 264 votes
  2. The best yet 113 votes
  3. Worse than most 112 votes
  4. Haven’t watched it 69 votes
  5. CGI sucks 30 votes
  6. The worst 27 votes

Holiday in Cambodia

Scarlettletterman from Toolarmy posted a Xmas present this morning – a bootleg of Jello Biafra and Tool performing Holiday in Cambodia.  Enjoy!

Holiday in San Francisco, 10000 DVDs?

According to Indacello, Jello Biafra joined Tool onstage last night in San Francisco for a version of Holiday in Cambodia.  Guests joining Tool this tour during lateralus include Sebastian from Trans Am, Dale from The Melvins, Cody from Big Business, Tim Alexander from Primus and Aaron from Isis.  Perhaps Tool should tour with The Mark of Cain while in Australia so John Stanier can join them on stage…

According to Marco, a website in the Netherlands is claiming that the Vicarious DVD will be limited to 10,000 copies.  I’m not so sure of that, but order yourself a copy just in case!

Melvins Back in Action, Jelvins Down-Under

mobius maximus on Toolarmy pointed this article out to us today:

Basically, it covers the Melvins latest happenings, some details on Mike Pattons Peeping Tom project, and my favorite bit, the fact that Jello Biafra and the Melvins will be touring Australia. Holy shit yes!

Schism/Parabol(a) DVD details Emerge

The DVD’s have starting arriving at various parts of the US, and so far it sounds pretty good. Blair has posted some pictures of the menu on on Toolband/Army . Dranyam from TA has revealed that the commentry is provided the David Yow (ex- Jesus Lizard) on Schism, and Jello Biafra on the Parabola videos. Dammit I want mine now…..

Toolarmy members will also notice a couple of changes in the welcome message. What’s that humming in the background?
