Schism DVD, Live DVD and the Jelvins!

Finally, some sort of news!

Blair has said today that a DVD with the Schism and Parabol/Parabola videos will be available sometime before the end of the year, and that December 20 seemed to be a good date for this. He did confirm that this isn’t the Live DVD, which will be released at a later date. Blair has promised that as well as the videos, the Schism DVD will have some “added extras”. Maybe a live track or two? Who knows….

In other news Altamont, The Melvins and Jello Biafra will be playing at the Henry Fonda Theatre in LA on the 16th of November. You’d be crazy to miss it!

Finally, I’m always happy to take submissions to links on this page, so if you have a Tool, APC or related site you’d like to see plugged here, just let me know!

Jelvins, Melvins, Tomahawk and TMOC

Some non-Tool news for a change.

There’s a relatively interesting, if a little short interview with Jello Biafra here, where he talks about his involvement with the Melvins. It boes on to mention that Adam Jones plays on half of the tracks on the new CD Sieg Howdy!

Ipecac.com are reporting that the Melvins are releasing a ‘new’ version of Houdini in the near future. Also, Peeping Tom for mid-2006.

Last but not least, according to The Mark of Cain’s website they are touring around Australia in January 2006 with John Stanier. For all you Tomahawk fans, and I know there’s plenty out there (including Tool) they also revealed that Tomahawk will be recording in December.

Sieg Howdy!

Punknews.org reports that Seig Howdy, the new CD from Jello Biafra and the Melvins will be out on September 27, and features none other than Adam Jones playing guitar on several tracks. Also a few dates their as well, no clue as to whether or not Adam will play with them like he did last year.

Never Breath What You Can’t See was one of my favorite albums from last year, so make sure you check that, plus this one out!

In other news, Channel 10 used Tool’s Schism to promote the Adelaide Crows in last nights AFL showdown. As a result the Crows won! Go the Crows!
