Danny’s schedule

Another post from Blair on Toolband, this time relating to Danny’s appearances in the coming weeks.

On Wednesday July 27th he’ll be appearing with Scott Kinsey (of Tribal Tech) and Steve Tavaglione (sax and EWI) at the La Ve Lee jazz club in Studio City (12514 Ventura Blvd. 818-980-8158). Sounds interesting.

He’ll also be playing with Pigmy Love Circus on the 6th of August, coming straight from the recording studio.

Last but not least Volto! will be playing La Ve Lee on the 18th of August and then The Baked Potato (3787 Caguenga Blvd, West, Studio City – 818-980-1615) on August 25th.

Presuming Tool are still recording in August as is suggested in this post, that would effectively mean we won’t be seeing the results of this session until maybe October at the earliest. Maybe we’ll get something else in the meantime…….

Myspace Sucks

Myspace sucks, and unfortunately I don’t have the know how to post a link to this, but Mike from Pigmy Love Circus has said on his Myspace site:

Tool is recording soon and when they finish we start on our opus and then tweak it out while Tool is on tour this year.

So could Tool be touring by the end of the year? Sounds good to me, even though the chances of them coming to Australia this year are pretty unlikely. Probably about as likely as me travelling to the US to see them.

In other news, my Toolarmy Extension is coming along nicely. It functions pretty well allowing easy navigation around the site, and all I have to do to is is to add the ability to add and edit bookmarks. Hopefully I’ll be able to release something later on this week, but being a Javascript novice, it may take a little longer.

BMB Ramblings

Blair has once again made a couple of posts on Toolband/army. A lot of fluff but a few interesting things.

Firstly Volto and Pigmy Love Circus should be playing in August, when Danny is less busy with his other band. Secondly the Pigmy’s seem to have a myspace site here.

Finally, and more importantly to us Tool fans, that he’ll reveal further information on “this ‘Teleincision’ business that I keep getting emails about.”.

Who know’s what’ll be revealed. My instincts tell me that he’ll deny that Teleincision is anything to do with Tool, and that after paragraphs of unrelated stories, possibly involving religious relics, there’s no further information on their new CD/DVD/Range of Designer Backpacks.

Feel free to prove me wrong Blair…..

Prying Open

About two years ago, I discovered RSS feeds. As simple method of streaming information and news from a correctly set up website.

Shortly after that I discovered a Blog, the Living Colour Blog, which outlined the news and events of the band Living Colour. It included an RSS feed, which I find makes life very easy to collect the kind of information I wanted about the band.

Today, as I searched for some information on my favorite band, Tool, I found that there was no such equivalent website/RSS feed. So here it is.

The goals of this Blog include not only collecting Tool news and events, but also the various side projects and other goings on involving the four members of Tool. This will include, but is not restricted to A Perfect Circle, Pigmy Love Circus, etc.

This site is not meant to override any of the other great Tool recources out there, this is simply to provide an RSS link to the information, as well as some possible commentry on the events.

Thanks for joining me on this ride, and feel free to comment at any time, as well as submitting any information that I and any other Tool finds may find useful.
