Carnarvon Gorge

No real Tool news today, except for Blair mentioning that more US tour dates will be confirmed too.  It also appears that Maynard is mentioning at shows that they’ll be back in Europe in November.

For those who are interested, I’ve posted some photos I took of my recent trip to Carnarvon Gorge on Flickr.  While you’re there you may want to check out the TDN Live group which has tons of great photos from Tool’s recent shows.

Finally, I’ve been thinking in the last weeks about opening Fourth Eye up a bit, and allowing users to submit their own articles.  This would allow news to come to you guys a little faster, more accurate stories from countries other than Australia, and also some relief from my lame sense of humour.  All articles will of course be moderated.

Any comments on this?  Anyone willing to put their hand up to be a writer?

Tool in California (again) and Alex Grey 10000 Days

A friend of clg2112 says that Tool are definitely playing the Staples Center in California on the 7th, 8th and 9th of September.  I’m sure confirmation of this will appear on Toolband in due course.

Blksun from Toolarmy shares with us a picture of his copy of 10,000 Days signed by Alex Grey.  Looks good to me.

Live Photo’s, Signed Vinyl on Ebay

Tom sent me a few live photos today, taken by his friend Karolina.  Here’s one of my favorites.  Stay tuned for the rest.

Fred emailed me this morning saying that he’s selling his Signed Lateralus Vinyl via Ebay.  Apparently he need some money to buy a birthday present for his wife.  Just a message for Jo in case she’s reading – no I won’t be selling mine to get you a birthday present!  Those of you interested in make a bid can check it out here.

Tour Dates

Tour dates for the US and Canada are up. These are just the confirmed ones, and Blair mentions there should be more coming soon, as well as some other things that should make certain people happy. Vicarious DVDs? More signed Vinyl? Aussie Tour dates? Limited Edition Belt Buckles? We’ll find out soon I suppose….

Hopefully for me, Tool will announce that it will be in Florida on or about the 8th-10th of October, or maybe even back in LA or San Diego on the 22nd-25th. That would be swell.

US Tour announcement imminent? Roskilde sells out.

Bob2884 (and several others) from Toolarmy have said that they overheard on the radio, that Tool will be making a huge announcement regarding the US tour later this year on Monday.  There also seems to be a new concert in Fresno, California on August 6 as well.    Looks like Tool might be squeezing in a few US (California only?) dates before heading off to Japan.

In other tour news, I recieved an email this morning saying that the Roskilde Festival (featuring Tool) has sold out.  If you missed out, too bad!

Tool Setlist from London

Menkimati from Toolarmy sent me this setlist he picked up from the recent London show.  Enjoy!

There’s also a coupe of posts on Toolband/Army today from Blair, one outlining Danny’s Synth collection, and another confirming a date in Amsterdam on June 27th.  From memory this Amsterdam date has been floating around for a while, though nice to get confirmation.

Stuff

A few snippets of info the last couple of days.

CorpseGrindeR (who’s definitely NOT Gay) on Toolarmy posted a few links to some nice Tool photos yesterday. No idea who took them, but they appear to have been taken by someone in the crowd at the recent Tempe show. Dial-up users take not, they’re big pictures!

Toolband/Army has confirmed that Tool are playing the Street Scene festival in San Diego on the 5th of August.

Finally, here’s a picture of Maynard which is the Chartattack photo of the week!
