John Ziegler’s Stroke Recovery Fund

Sad news this morning in that it appears Volto! and Pigmy Love Circus guitarist John Z has recently suffered from a serious stroke.  My understanding of the US Medical system, is that it’s mostly a joke, so financially John appears to be under much strain.  A Gofundme account has been set up, and I’d encourage those with a few spare dollars to send some his way. John “Johnny Z” Ziegler… Read More »John Ziegler’s Stroke Recovery Fund

Danny Carey at Drum Day

I noticed a post on the Volto! Facebook page about Danny Carey participating in something called Drum Day.  Looks like this is an held event in LA on April 8th which serves primarily as a show case for drum equipment.  Scheduled for the day is a performance of Danny with Volto, so it doesn’t appear to be a drum clinic as such. Anyway, it’s free by the looks of things,… Read More »Danny Carey at Drum Day

Volto at The Mint in September

While we sit and wait patiently/impatiently for some kind of Tool news (possibly even tour dates, though that seems to appear more unlikely each passing day), I can update you on a coming Volto! show at the Mint on September 5th. No baked potatoes will be available at this show, however I’m sure the beer will be cold and the music soothing to ones ears. If you’re in Los Angeles… Read More »Volto at The Mint in September

Tool September Newsletter out now!

Blair has posted his September Tool Newsletter, and it’s one huge advertisement of stuff we already know (coded messages excluded!). Volto!’s debut album Incitare is now streaming via the Rolling Stone website. It goes on sale via Amazon and iTunes very soon, and presumably physical media will be on sale early in August. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Volto! Tocino!

Volto! have released a video today for the track Tocino from their album Incitare. Featuring Danny, Blair are presumably some other cameos, here it is:

Volto! and Minimoogs

I discovered today that the Volto! website now seems to be up and running, and featured on it is a piece written by Blair where he discusses Danny, Volto! and Synthesizers, in particular the Minimoog he sold Danny. The piece also contains a few answers to the recent quiz posted in the June Tool Newsletter: Over the many years since Danny purchased the Minimoog, its distinctive control panel has, for… Read More »Volto! and Minimoogs
