Wikipedia & Somethingawful.com

  • Tool

I noticed today on the Wikipedia Tool Talk page this interesting snippet: It’s been confirmed that teleincision.com was registered by a prankster at SomethingAwful.com in an attempt to mislead rabid Tool fans. Now I’m obviously not sure what evidence if any there is of this, but it certainly reinforces my thoughts that Teleincision doesn’t really exist.

Lateralus Vinyl – Official

A new post from Blair on the Toolband site confirms that the Lateralus Vinyl Edition will be released some time in August, and that the 23rd ‘sounds pretty good’. This may put to rest the rumours regarding Teleincision coming out in August (presuming of course Teleincicion is a legitimate release at all, which I doubt). More details are to come in the next few days.

Peach

Peach, Justin’s old band look like they’re about to release a new CD, entitled Suns of the Tundra. The sample sound pretty damn good to me, forcing me to re-think my previous thoughts on how good they are….

Myspace Sucks

Myspace sucks, and unfortunately I don’t have the know how to post a link to this, but Mike from Pigmy Love Circus has said on his Myspace site: Tool is recording soon and when they finish we start on our opus and then tweak it out while Tool is on tour this year. So could Tool be touring by the end of the year? Sounds good to me, even though… Read More »Myspace Sucks

Lateralus Vinyl

The prp is reporting that: Tool will reportedly be issuing a vinyl edition of their “Lateralus” album in North America on August 23rd. The outing is said to be a double-vinyl effort on 4 picture discs, packaged in a special plastic gatefold with holographic foil. No official word has been released as of yet however. Too bad for us non-North Americans, not that the idea of Vinyl is that appealing… Read More »Lateralus Vinyl

… – .. – – . – –

It seems as though Blair has finally given us some Tool information on Toolband. Nothing particularly exciting, just more confirmation that everything is going smoothly, and that the band a being delibertaly quiet regarding the recording process, though as soon as they decide to release further info, it’ll appear on the Tool site rather than some random record store. Blair also left some code in the post “… – ..… Read More »… – .. – – . – –

Joshua Davis

  • Tool

I’m sure all of you have noticed the semi-recent update to the splash screen on the Tool site (www.toolband.com), but you may not know who designed it. The man in question is Joshua Davis, and he’s quite a well known Flash designer/artist byt the looks of things. Check out his site at www.joshuadavis.com and make sure you check out the Projects: Web section for some (very brief!) insight into the… Read More »Joshua Davis

Slow News Week

Not much new stuff to post about at the moment, so I’ve done some digging and come up with 3 interesting things: 1. Hidden away in Blair‘s profile on Toolarmy are some posts talking about having a meeting with Tool in the next week, and working on having a new Web-Chat, as well as updating Toolarmy. As usual I’m not getting my hopes up about a Toolarmy update just yet,… Read More »Slow News Week
