Madklikor from Toolnavy, as well as Fourtheyer Shinji have confirmed that Sony/BMG in France have confirmed the release date of the new Tool album will be the 2nd of May, 2006. No confirmation of this from Blair or the members of Tool yet, but it looks to me like this might be it.

Well, I hope it’s not their last CD. 5 Candles and other hints aside, I don’t see why the guys would want to stop making CD’s, even at a rate of one every 5 years or so.
It would seem (from the outside anyway) there’s no personal issues between the members that would make them not want to work with each other.
I think Tool will be one of those bands that never break up, and only release stuff when the scheduele of the 4 members are aligned, and the creative juices are flowing.
Where has Sony/BMG in France confirmed this? because i can’t even find Tool on their website.
