According to Wretched and Pnuema i on Toolnavy, US radio stations are confirming that April the 17th will be the day when the first single will be available, and that they have no idea what it is called. This date was subject to the band changing their mind however, but it seems likely to me that this date is a reasonable one.
Dan and Foamy have informed me of some alleged rehearsal media that has been leaked. I’ve taken a listen and they sound ok, but really, these recordings could be anyone. The link to these files is via a highly annoying download site, which I’m not going to bother linking too. Having listened, I can’t say I have an opinion. It ain’t anything I’ve heard before.
I’m still not 100% sure it is Tool. It just doesn’t sound right too me, especially the bass. As I’ve said above, they could really be anyone, there’s no vocals to confirm Maynard’s participation.

I don’t know I have a hard time believing that is Tool…the arrangements all sort of sound to simple to be Tool….here’s hoping that it’s just a random jam. Thanks Matt!
The drumming is kickass but as for being Tool… I don’t really think so…
Maybe is a infant stage of development of a new song, the guitar style is close to Adam Jones style.
