The Betterfly on Toolarmy posted an interview with Maynard on TA boards this morning. Here’s some highlights:
A huge thanks to Joe Barresi who spent lots of time and effort working on (especially) guitar sounds. I think “10,000 Days” is overall more “raw” sounding than “Lateralus” or “Aenima” and you have to go back all the way to “Undertow” to find similar soundscapes.
“Lipan Conjuring” is Danny’s little song which he made with his friend Tom Brown. It’s an Lipan-apache exorcism, kinda like a situation check and strengthening your roots.
We are not gonna play this album thru as a whole live. That kinda fate i wouldnt want for anyone. But as the tour goes on we will include some songs on our setlist.
Non-TA members can read it here. Thanks to Tooljunky. An interesting interview that’s well worth the read.
http://simplemp3s.com/ has a perfect quality of the album. no cracks, nothing.
WOW… then it’s true.. the leak is real? Well in another 5 years I can still hope for a new best TooL album ever. Still a good listen, 10,000 Days.

The song Lipan Conjuring was NOT sung by Tom Brown. This is an error in the above quote. The song is in fact sung by Bill McConnell – Founder of the PAST Skills Wilderness School.
See the track listing (with McConnell’s Vocals Credits) here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10000_days
