As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’ve updated the Stylesheet on Fourtheye to be a little whiter and brighter. Some readers have said that they still see the posts with a black background that makes the site very hard to read. I think this is some sort of caching issue, so I’d suggest to all of you, refresh your cache. If you continue to have problems, let me know and I’ll look into it further.
Update! Turns out IE didn’t like my CSS changes (which is kinda my fault, CSS wasn’t valid). Problem has now been rectified. If you were using Firefox you’d have never noticed…..

As you said it doesnt say anything we don’t already know, except one thing..it says the new album will contain some 20 minute songs..but if i look at that tracklist i dont see anything that would underline this .. we’re gonna know better if the album comes out in a few weeks..thx a lot hellboy for daily news !
Wow, this is awesome news. I’m so glad that the tracks are really long, longer than even the Lateralus tracks! It’s nice to know that Viginti Tres is a good length too, I was expecting it to be around two minutes or less. I just can’t wait for the new album. I’m getting mixed signals about how this album is going to sound. They say its going to super heavy like Meshuggah and feature the same sudden time shifts/polyrhythm junk that they always do.
But early reviews say the album has more eastern tinged songs that sound like Eulogy and Reflection. Thats always a good thing, but it still has to rock! But I wouldn’t mind another amazing song like Eulogy at all!
I think its both. There’s supposed to be mix in moments throughout songs.Especially, some 2 11 mins tracks that probably connect with one another. Some songs also might be more heavy and more eastern tinged than others. But they said it was classical arrangement in way. I know I’ve liked what I have heard so far about the music.

Well, I can safely say that the album will incorporate heavy elements i.e. Meshuggah and more mellow elements like Reflection. Just like Lateralus and all their other albums. It will be balanced. But, I really get the feeling that this album will be very tribal like Reflection. Which is great because Reflection happens to be my favorite song of all time.
Nice to see long track lengths again… I am personally hoping for some epic stuff a la Disposition/Reflection/Triad… and it seems I won’t be contending with a lot of segues too… the bane of my “shuffle” play ways!
A metal show in portugal cable tv said that they heard the album (go figure…) and that it’s more raw than Lateralus… that’s all they said.
Anyway I’m all excited because TooL is going to be my birthday present from my girlfriend 🙂 she bought tickets to the first time that TooL plays 10.000 days live!
