Sources have told Launch that TOOL is booking two concert dates in New York City for late May, with the dates and exact venue yet to be announced. The group is also rumored to be hitting several other cities that same month, including Seattle and Oakland. These shows will follow TOOL’s April 30 headlining performance at the Coachella festival in Indio, California, which will be the band’s first live appearance in the U.S. since 2002.
In other news, it would seem that Tool have mastered the art of teleportation and are actually all over the world allowing select fans to hear 10,000 Days. Wow!

whoever came up with that prank in regards to listening parties is a serious douchebag..tool and kabir included if they were involved. I mean there are some fans out there that would travel 1,000’s of kilometres just to share in this experience. One word…lame!
Guys, i’m here in Sydney, Maynard just turned up and gave me a silver iPod nano, with only the new tool album on it. The 1st song has great polyrhythms and a 7/8 beat. More when I hear the rest of it….

Having read this earlier today (about the April 29th release here in Australia), I decided to ask about it at the nearest Sanity store, 5 mins away. The lady there told me that the album comes out Monday May 1sy but they “have a special deal” where they “are allowed to sell it on the Saturday before”. So I confirmed with her that if I come in on Saturday April 29th, they will have a copy to sell me etc. (She was very helpful) Obviously this is great news for us Aussies! I went to the Volto show tonite at the Knitting Factory and have news to report: Spoke to Blair, and he said that the whole secret listening session in 4 different locations across the globe was “complete bullshit” and that he doesn’t know where that rumor came from.
