Lawrence.com must have a few contacts because Danny was interviewed again there recently. Danny talks about recording 10,000 Days, meeting John Paul Jones, the NBA Entertainment League and his desire to play William Tell with William S. Borroughs. Presumably as the shooter this time around! Here’s a random quote for you guys too lazy to read the article:
Q: Have you ever been trash-talked by anyone famous?
A: Not extreme. But people always talk (trash) out on the floor. I’ve played against Ice Cube and Snoop (Dogg). They’ll drop little lines here and there. It’s kind of surreal in a way being out on the court with all these guys. It’s something that wouldn’t have happened back in Kansas, that’s for sure.
“Q: What happens to your drum sound when you fill a studio with helium, as you did while recording “10,000 Days”?”
wtf?!
http://g2p.org/
uses google to find mp3’s. its not bad although it seem to work for only reasonably known bands. tool etc had heaps of results. not a bad alternative if p2p is not your thing
!off topic!
look what i stumbled by on wikipedia.com:
“Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991), better known by his pen name, Dr. Seuss, was a famous American writer and cartoonist best known for his children’s books, particularly The Cat in the Hat. He also wrote under the pen names Theo. LeSieg and Rosetta Stone.”
get it? get it?
Rosetta Stone.. Dr. Seuss…
get it?
hahaha you were looking at dr seuss?
what’s funny about that?
as a matter or fact, i was reading about snowclones, to which i got after reading about words eskimos have for snow (not as many as is commonly thought, turns out..), to which i got after reading about igloo construction (turns out eskimos only live in igloos on VERY rare occasions, like when they’re stuck in a snow-storm, or when they go out hunting – which doesn’t happen much these days…)
btw,
is that a wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
What the hell is a wocket? Rosetta Stoned…
I applaud your research… I can’t believe some people still think Eskimos live in igloos.
There’s a Wocket in My Pocket is a Dr. Suess book.
i applaud your wikipedia research. just on that point, how good is wiki for just chking up on anything you come across while browsing the world wide web. for example i know realise that “flange” is british underground for vagina. ahhhh the happiness
*hellboy — i noticed the comment box was bigger ;D
Yeah, it’s been bugging me for a while too…
seems to me it’s a little TOO big now..
there never is a middle ground for you, is there? it’s always from one excess to the other.
it takes more than taking sides to see the truth in what could be; extreme ends have to compromise and merge to intermediacy.
i could almost fit that into one line. not good.
not good at all…
I was at this show in KC 9-15. They played Wings – 10,000 Days. Beautiful.
seems to me it’s a little TOO big now..

Solution – get a widescreen monitor!
Yeah, it hit me as too big too. But I like it. No widescreens though… but my resolution is pretty huge, so…
Is that better bitches?
hmmm..
odd.
it was GREAT! until i started typing, then it switched to too big.
realtime metamorphosing comment box. good concept, badly executed.
if at first you don’t succeed, et al.
Really? It should stay pretty static in size, there’s no specific code to make it change dynamically while you type. The only time it should change is if you resize your browser window.
Just out of curiousity are you using IE, Firefox or a different browser? I have to admit I only even test Fourtheye in Firefox…
it happened both in “Maxthon” at work, and in IE at my mother’s house…
