An ad in Kerrang confirms that Mastodon will be supporting Tool in Europe. There’s only five dates on it, so they may be just doing the UK leg of the tour. We’ll have to wait and see. Thanks to The Tool Hotline for letting us know.
Pop matters has posted an interview with Adam. It seems pretty standard, there’s not much new here. But it’s been a while since an interview and it’s not the worst I’ve read. This is one of the more interesting quotes from it:
But Tool is intensely serious about its music. And while Jones is at a loss to explain his band’s commercial triumphs, he’s pretty sure he understands listeners’ passion.
“When we’re writing, we don’t worry about radio, we don’t worry about fans. We just worry about walking out and being able to say, `Wow, it’s great. We did a good job, and I love it.’ Being able to listen to it in my car and say I’m a fan of my own music,†says Jones.
